Spelling: Weekly Word List is on Spelling Page
Check your child's spelling words.  They come home every Monday. 
We go over spelling at least 3 times during the week.
Monday- Pretest, phonics lessons on sounds and blends within words, Play Sparkle to review words
Wednesday- Guided Practice Spelling Worksheet to review words
Thursday- Review and Sparkle
Throughout the week, your child may also have spelling homework to review words.  We also use our spelling words in all language arts curriculum areas.  I incorporate the words within the English and Reading content areas.
Practice Dictation Sentences with your child.  Say a sentence with the spelling words in it.  Have your child write the sentence exactly as it is heard.  They need to include correct spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and any other English concepts which were learned in class.
