Once a week we will get together with
Mrs. Rokita's Class at Brooke. This year our buddies will be in
second grade. This will be a good experience for the second graders
to prepare them for third grade. We pair different buddies together
monthly. They engage in many different activities including holiday
projects, language arts games, writing workshops, social studies
research, and much more.

Towards the middle of the year the students will participate in our Millionaire game consisting of review questions in all curriculum areas. The game is played just like the real game on television. A host reads the questions and the students choice among answers A-D. They have 3 life lines. For the phone a friend life line, they get to call a friend in a different third grade class. This is a very exciting option for the students!
Mystery Student is similar to
student of the week except that the students get to guess who it is based
on information about the child. It is a game played
somewhat like Wheel of Fortune. The students guess a letter of the
child's name. Each Mystery Student of the week brings in show
and tell items to share. Mystery Student is done on Friday. The student is then the student of the week for
the following week. Their items should be brought in by the Friday
of their week.
