PAT YOUNG
Pat fuckit Young, a long standing member of the society, is now our first and only member elegible for the seniors tour. After winning the title in the first year of the competition, he flattered to deceive last year and finished up a distant 4th. He comes into the tournament this year after a bad shoulder injury, but he is confident he can regain the championship. As long as he stops throwing his clubs at other members he has a good chance.
1997 - 1st 1998 - 4th
Odds: 3/1
CHRIS MORAN
Chris Chrishty Moran has once again favoured us with his presence this year. The rumour going around Ballinrobe is that he has a date with a certain lady in the bunker on the 10th hole and believe me it wont be his only visit to that bunker! Chris has been practising non-stop since last July and as recently as December he won an outing at St Margerets with a massive 41 points off 28 (Bandit). Possibly a good outside bet if he can last the pace.
1997 - J5th 1998 - 5th
Odds: 10/1
SEAN MORAN
Sean Ball & chain Moran is expected to join us this year with the full permission of his wife. Two pints a night and in bed by 11 o clock are the only conditions. Sean has struggled to make an impact in the two years of the competition but now that his football career is coming to a timely end (or so his team mates tell me) he will have more time to practise before July. Still a longshot.
1997 - J5th 1998 - 7th
Odds: 14/1

MIKE MOORE
Mike Dipso Moore is the only man to retain his name from the founding days of the Courage Virility League. He still has the ability to be last man standing after a night on the town. Mike pushed Pat all the way in the first year of competition to finish 2nd and last year he came back twice the man, unfortunately that had more to do with Sheilas good cooking than his golf. He got rid of his clubs (good plan) late last year so he is an unknown quantity this for this years competition.
1997 - 2nd 1998 - 8th
Odds: 9/1

PADDY BURKE
Paddy Sandy Burke is the man with the highest ambitions this year. Paddy figured he would be able to get lots of practise in now that he was back home, but he discovered that in this country there is so much drink and not enough time. Paddy has written to Ballinrobe GC to ask them to fill in all the bunkers this year to help his cause. May surprise a lot of people this year with the help of his handicap. (I dont mean supporting Liverpool).
1997 - 7th 1998 - 9th
Odds: 20/1
