+3 close-up filter
I was sitting at home with the flu one day and decided to try some shots of the flowers I had bought my wife. Taken with a Pentax K1000, 50mm lens and a +3 close-up filter at f22 with 200 print film. Tripod, cable release and flash were also used.
I keep a polarizing filter on my camera for most photos taken outdoors.

I shot this one while I was taking pictures in Burnsland cemetery in Calgary. I took this while lying on my back, at about 2:30 pm. If you get the angle to the sun just right, a polarizing filter can turn the sky almost black.
