 Black and White filters

These intensely colored filters are intended for black-and-white film. They reduce certain colors and accentuate others. In this way, it is possible to enhance or reduce the contrast of certain portions of the subject  similar to the use of Polarizers or Graduated filters in color photography.

Use your imagination for color : Do not confine yourself to traditional filter techniques. You can obtain impressive, almost supernatural, results on color film. Don't hesitate to combine color filters with other special effects filters. Try the Multi-image, Speed and Super Speed, Pastel, Double Mask, etc.

Helpful hints :
Use color fitters creatively. Select simple contrasting subjects. Forget about reality. In black-and-white remember the secondary effects of the deep filters such as the red. By First observing your subject through the filter, you can get some idea of what the result will be. However it will take some practice before you can accurately visualize the abstracted black-and-white image obtained in this way. Follow these simple hints and you will have no problems.
