New information on From Software's Playstation 2 action RPG Ever Grace which is scheduled to release in Japan next spring. The story is about a strange man named Yurt, who holds a mysterious cursed emblem, those who live near by him will be cursed to death. He is seeking revenge for the death of his father, who has been murdered by the army, and he walked a new dimension, where he encountered a lot of bizarre creatures and found out the mysteries behind his cursed emblem and the connection with this dimension. There are a lot of action fighting scenes, you have to learn to attack the weak point of the monsters to effectively defeat them. There is a type of crystal called Palmyra, by equipping these crystals your abilities and special power will increase. During the game you will meet with many supporting characters, including a female named Siena, an elder named Bag, and more.
 

 

Enix has pushed back the release of their 2CDs RPG game Valkyrie Profile from December 9 to December 22.   The game will retail for 6800 yen.

Atlus is working on several new Playstation 2 projects, they are planning to release 5 - 6 PS2 titles in Japan after April 2000, including the latest sequel of Megami Tensei and Toge Max Racing.

Enix has decided to port Dragon Quest 1 - 4 to Playstation in 2000. The Playstation port will feature enhanced graphics and sounds over the original version, not just a directly port of the SFC remake version of DQ 1 - 3.

Besides DQ 1 -4, Enix announced that they will release 5 Playstation 2 title in Japan next year, and the first Enix PS2 title will be released in April 2000.

New info on Capcom's gun shooting survival horror title Bio Hazard Gun Survivor for Playstation, scheduled to release in Japan on January 20. The main character in this game is an unnamed young man, who lost his memories in a plane crash. He decided to battle against the zombies and monsters to regain his lost memories. So far two supporting characters are revealed: Andy - a old man, who works as a guard, he witnessed how the town people infected by the T-virus and turned into zombies. Lot - a youth who have been brain washed by Umbrella, his father is a scientist in the organization, he seems to know the background of the main character. A new Check Search system is added to the game, you can use it to discover hidden items and weapons on screen.
 

Bandai is developing two new Playstation 2 titles in Japan, one of them is a Mobile Suit Gundam action game, scheduled to release in April 2000.

Square is starting a reservation campaign for their upcoming Playstation title Parasite Eve II, scheduled to release in Japan on December 16, those who preorder the game at convenient store will receive a keychain of Aya, and pre-order at game shop will receive a year 2000 Parasite Eve Postcard Calendar.

 

Sunrise Interactive announced that they are working on a new Playstation 2 real time simulation RPG called Armored Squad of the Century G Breaker. It features a series of original robot characters so-called GT. The story of this game takes place 20 years before Sunrise Heroes for DC. The game is scheduled to release in Japan in summer 2000, in DVD-ROM. Other than the game, Armored Squad of the Century G Breaker will also heading to TV cartoon series in Japan next year.

Konami announced that they will be releasing Pop n' Music 3 Append Disc for Playstation in Japan on February 10, 2000, for 2800 yen.  An append disc which requires Pop n' Music 2 to run. Pop n' Music 3 Append Disc will contain a total of 44 songs from the Bemani series, 9 of which are brand new songs. A new PocketStation game Pop n' Music Anywhere Vol. 2 will be included in the game.  There are also a number of new elements in this game, including a new Hyper mode, and a new option to allow you to play with 5, 7 or 9 buttons, suitable for beginners.   Other than Pop n' Music 3 Append Disc, Konami is also porting their arcade guitar music game to Playstation, entitled Guitar Freaks Append 2nd Mix, scheduled to release in Japan on February 24, for 2800 yen. This is an append disc which requires the original Guitar Freaks to work, featuring a total of 40 songs, 15 of which are from the different arcade versions, and the rest are coming from the other Bemani series. The PS version will have new play modes such as Free Play, Training and Edit.
