Sony of Japan has announed full detail about their upcoing Playstation 2. PS2 is priced at 39,800 yen (approximately $370 in USD) scheduled to launch in Japan on March 4th of 2000, with an enormous planned shipment one million units. Sony's press release this morning also indicates that the DVD-ROM drive supports both standard CD, Video-CD and DVD-Video discs.
