Shannara Parody Page

One of the things I discovered rapidly as an early fan of Shannara was that it requires fortitude. Too few people, even now, take Shannara very seriously, and as a young woman with a tendency to take everything very seriously, having the book I loved most mocked openly by many of my friends and aquaintances was a troubling thing. It took my husband and his zany wit to finally un-grit my teeth and give me a sense of humor about the whole thing.

Parodies on this site:

Algernon and his Little Band -- My husband's Shannara parody.
The Ilse Witch Project -- A silly little screenplay by the TB Mailing List.
The Broken Buttercup of Shannara -- A Shannara/Braveheart parody by Ryath and Marjan.
Kirana's Parodies -- "A Visit from St. Allanon" and "Allanon with Alzheimers."
Tarak's Parodies -- "The Horn Of Sharnynobl," "Steel Johns," and "Westland Story."

Parodies on other sites:

Book-A-Minute Parodies of:
The Sword of Shannara
The Wishsong of Shannara

Wil Ohmsford On-Line -- Lots of funny Shannara stuff.

Stoneloco's Bestseller Fantasy Plot -- An amusing comparison of Tolkien, Jordan, and Brooks.

So it isn't Shannara....
Star Trek fan-fic -- A story about Worf and Troi's daughter, whose name-- incidentally--is "Shannara".
MSTed: A Gift for Shannara -- A MST3000 parody of the above Star Trek fan-fic story.

[E-Mail] . "Caesar, of course, had a little place at Walton--a camp, or entrenchment, or something of that sort. Caesar was a regular up-river man. Also Queen Elizabeth, she was there, too. You can never get away from that woman, go where you will. Cromwell and Bradshaw (not the guide man, but the King Charles's head man) likewise sojourned here. They must have been quite a pleasant little party, altogether.".....-Jerome K. Jerome in Three Men in a Boat .
