The Keep Some years after her father's death, Andrea assembled the children of those who once went on the quest for the Sword. She believed in the purpose of the original Council, that the knowledge kept by the Druids through so many years should not perish, but be spread for the good of the people of the Four Lands. Now the Council has opened Paranor to all young people who would come there to learn, and by their knowledge, serve. . If you like, you may join them.... From your lodgings in the trading village of Lake, just northeast of Paranor, you took the path south and now you are finally here....

The Druids' Keep is a massive castle that stands at the top of a mesa known as the Cliffs of Paranor, which are thought to be virtually unscalable. The Cliffs themselves are black basalt, but the castle is constructed of huge grey stones brought from the surrounding Dragon's Teeth Mountains.

The only apparent path up to the Keep is a narrow road that winds up the southwest side of the cliffs, and appears to have been carved out of the rock itself. Far above you, you can see the green and white quatrefoil banner of the Second Druid Council floating from the top of one of the towers. You have journeyed far to reach this place, but now you are nervous at the prospect of actually entering. Do you wish to:
