You ascend the path, and find yourself at the gate of the Keep.
Seated outside the postern, leaning back against the wall is a man
with dark hair and eyes. He stands as you approach, and you
notice that he is quite tall. Your heart thumps loudly as you
remember tales of the Druid Allanon, yet this
surely could not be him, for he has been dead for over three hundred
years. Also you note that this man is
rather young, appearing to be no more than about 30 years old.
The man greets you. "Welcome to the Keep." He introduces himself as Alaric, the son of the Lady Andrea. Leaving a youth in charge of the gate, he leads you inside. You find yourself in the outer yard. To the right, against the outer walls, stand various outbuildings. To the left towers the Keep itself. Its massive double entrance doors are framed by two smaller towers.
If you came mounted, you may take
your horse to the stable. |
