Shannara Links
I don't have the time or the desire anymore to keep up with every Shannara site on the web, so this links page is not the resource that it used to be. Instead it reflects my own personal likes and dislikes. The webpages that I've listed are ones that, for one reason and another, have tended to make me feel that Shannara on the web is still worthwhile.
NICE PEOPLE'S PAGES:
The Terry Brooks Experience -- A nice site with info on all aspects of Brooks' universes. Fan art, midis, and more. Tony has worked hard!
The Lands of Terry Brooks -- Imran is looking for people to help keep up his site.
Druid's Keep -- SpiffyMatt's Shannara lineage chart and more.
Tarak's Fantasy Page -- The Brooks stuff is near bottom, so be patient! Full-length cover of Talismans, unmarred by title: worth the trip.
Kirana Leah's Page --
Kirana's site is still under construction, but she has the beta version of her Shannara glossary up.
Melmoth's Shannara Stuff --
This is my good friend Jonathan's Sword timeline and a comparison of Sword to LotR.
Wil Ohmsford On-Line -- I only recently discovered this site, and that's too bad because it's been around for quite a while and it's got hilarous Shannara parody fan-fics!
NEW AND PROMISING PAGES:
The Caverns of Shannara --
A nice-looking site with a lot of interesting things that no one else has. Shows a lot of work!
Magic Land O' Shannara --
A fun little site with some info on the Poster Board Kingdom.
Friends of Shannara -- This is a pretty classy-looking and also thorough site.
OLD FAVORITES:
The Sword of Shannara -- This has been my favorite Shannara pic site for a long time.
Shea's Shannara Page -- Nice pic page, with a colorized Hildebrandt.
Morgan Leah's Homepage -- I've always been fond of this page's sense of humor.
Sable Sorcerer's New Shannara Page -- Another page with a fun sense of humor; it includes descriptions of some places in the Four Lands.
Amberle's World -- This page is perpetually "under construction," and consists of just a main page, but I like it anyway! It looks promising if she'd ever finish it.
The Druid's Keep -- Aric Jedi's homepage. Some pretty crazy ideas, but I like his sense of imagination.
INTERNATIONAL SITES:
Sllskapet Shannaras Svrd -- A site in Swedish that's been around in one form or another for quite a while.
La Glaive de Shannara -- Another international site, this one in French. If you read a little bit of French, you can even find your way to a map of "Les Quatre Terres."
Shea -- Ok, if you don't read German, this page isn't much fun, but if you do, it's a neat little "life history" by Shea Ohmsford. Hmmm, maybe you could try running it through the translator?
Shannara -- If you like to see the art on international covers, this Dutch site has a lot of them.
