BIG Pitch Strategy Rethink

New European working practices may lead to a radical change in UK pitch design aspects. Some Midland (UK) agencies are collaborating with freelance specialists to give their pitches a winning edge.

For many years leading German marketing agencies have brought associated companies under one umbrella to prepare specialised pitch designs and now UK agencies eager to save money and increase their odds are set to follow this trend.

A spokesperson for BIG confirmed that 'a few of its members support speculative pitches for outside - UK clients but only a handful of UK agencies explore this potential.'

BIG WINS In Yr2002 media climate

"Budget cuts, an increase in in-house PR and an acceleration in the trend for fast efficient image communication has brightened the outlook for the British Image Group" ( BIG ).

Commissioned by key communicators
, BIG members are chosen because of their tremendous range of freelance creative contacts.  Founded in 1987 BIG (Formerley known as 'Birmingham Image Generators') was formed with a dual-role to promote creative talent to the media community and to set up a forum between increasingly linked creative disciplines such as Illustration, photography, sculpt, computer lmaging, graphic image manipulation, presentation, marketing and ICT.  Clients need reliability, value, effectiveness and assured quality, which can only be achieved through developing knowledge and forming close working rapports with reliant freelance skills.

BIG is praised for its varied work in establishing industry standards and anticipating developments in image solution thinking.  Year 2002 and beyond will create real growth of revenue only by using skilled thinkers committed to solving shared communication challenges.
