When you are working your ass off, Christmas seems to come around the corner very fast.  However, I'll be doing a lot of work during this holiday season since I pretty much have to work the holidays such as Christmas Day & New Year's Day.  Since I don't celebrate much, it's not a big loss for me.  But Boxing Day is kind a big one for me, depending what kind of sales will be occurring.  Also, it's been snowing a lot here.  This caused a lot of flights to be cancelled or delayed at the airport.  As a result, I was working like mad this past week with a lot of travellers looking for a hotel room.  It was a nightmare.

Lately, I've been cleaning out my room due to some selling of my stuff.  Plus, it was in a need of cleaning & clearing anyways.  It still is actually.  The same can be said about my desktop computer.  Too much junk & anime stuff in the hard drives.  Also, I've been making some more stuff in the Downloads section but one DVD gave me some problems.  The Pia Carrot G.O. Toy Box Summer Fair has terrific security.  I couldn't get any accessories from the disc directly or the directory where I installed it into my computer.  What's more interesting is that it disables the Print Screen function, so you can't take screenshots of the program & anything from your screen.  Too bad I couldn't get anything from it since it's got some nice wallpapers in there.  But, I got some other stuff anyways so no major disappointment for some of you people.  Plan to get some downloadable stuff here for Christmas really if I can make it.

I updated the Kotobukiya 1/8 CLANNAD Sakagami Tomoyo PVC Figurine review in the CLANNAD section since I finally got her out of the box.  Also, I got rid of my entire Negi collection & updated the reviews to reflect on that.  I was very surprised on how much I sold my volume 2 & 3 Figumate sets.  I thought the amount I sold it for is way too much.  Also, an anime review of Kasimasi ~Girl Meets Girl~ OVA is up.  I think that OVA is licensed by Media Blasters since they have the TV shows.

In the next updates in December, I plan to put up a download item in the Downloads section.  Depending how things go, I'm hoping to get a total of three next month.

Boy, was I wrong about the video game console launches!  The PS3 launch was a riot with a lot of crimes involved during, before, & after the lineups.  Such a terrible launch.  What's worse was people reporting getting dead PS3s right out of the box.  The system sold out pretty fast too.  For the Wii launch, it sold out faster than I thought again.  What's more interesting is the Wii accessories & games sold out very quick as well.  Both systems are doing very well in terms of their launch week.  Wii is getting the most attention though.

Recently, I asked my sister to put up some of my collection on eBay.  Want to get rid of some stuff that I lost interest in.  My entire Negima, Hoi Hoi San, Kiddy Grade,& FLCL collections are up.  Plus, my DearS gashapon set & my 1/6 Saber complete type as well.  Lost interest in them really.  If you want to buy them, go to the Links page & find the eBay link.  I don't know if the prices are good since I haven't been keeping up with the collector's market on these old things now.  At the same time, I'm planning out a Christmas sale for tamago toys.  Don't know what to do yet, but I need to be quick since Christmas is really close by.  Plus, I want to restock some new interesting items after getting rid of the old stuff.

Things haven't been good to me lately.  Too much work & too tired to do them.  Mainly because I'm lacking sleep a bit these past days.  Always have the feeling of going to sleep & doze off for the whole day.  For the time being, I put up some minor stuff.; basically collectable reviews:

This past weekend, Japan was the first in the world to get the Sony Playstation 3.  All 100,000 units gone & there are people of all ages lining up for it.  From high school students to seniors, which was a shocker to me.  There were some people flying in from different parts of the world just to get the PS3.  I heard some guy in the UK flew to Japan just to line up for the system two days before the release date.  However, the system didn't sell out very quick as I expected.  Some stores didn't sell out until early afternoon.  Also, it was reported that around 88,400 or so systems were actually sold.  I don't know where that remaining numbers went.  Probably the shipment was actually that amount instead.  North America will be unpredictable I think.  With 400,000 units coming very soon & all the preorders gone, I don't know what to say about it.  People complained about the price being too expensive & plan to get Wii instead & not going for the PS3.  Yet, the preorders I've seen have the PS3 outnumber the Wii by a lot!  Personally, I don't know what's going on.  I'm predicting the PS3 will not sell out very fast here.  Probably a bit faster or later than Japan did.  For sure, it should sell better than the PSP did at launch.  Because I have work on that day in the morning, I'm not going to be in line for it.  I actually have no plans in getting it due to price & gaming section.  If I do get it, it's mainly for PS2 games for the time being.  But, with HD wide screen TVs that the PS3 is designed for, I heard that PS2 games are visually horrible due to pixilation.  This is expected really since the games were never designed for 16:9 TVs to begin with.  I'll be lucky to get one after work.  That is if I really decide to get one.

Another thing about the PS3 is that it's has a lot of problems at the moment, which isn't a surprise really.  About 200 PS1 & PS2 games have been reported that aren't compatible with the PS3.  Sony says it has something to do with the different software that the games & the PS3 uses & a firmware will be available for download on the PS3 console as soon as they fix it up.  It's unknown which games don't work, but I heard Guitar Freaks 2 one of them & that's surprising since it's a relatively new game.  Because of this current problem, there has been some cuts in the shipment amount & some people that preordered will have to wait for the next shipment.  Possibly because Sony wants to fix this compatibility problem in the next batch.

As for this past week, I got my Atelier-Sai Brighter Than Dawning Blue 1/6 Feena Fam Earthlight PVC figurine in the mail this past week.  It's not bad as I thought it would be.  The face is a bit iffy as I expected on 1/6 figures & the paint job is okay.  But, I'm pretty happy with the purchase.  Also, I picked up Max Factory's Jingai Makyo 1/7 Ignis figurine from my local Japanese hobby shop last week.  It's quite a beauty really with the nice workmanship & reflective base.  It's a nice base for you perverts out there that like to look up on girl's skirts.  I recommend getting both figurines; especially Ingis.

Updates?  Not much again.  Been working my ass off again from my hotel work.  It seems that there will be no signs of slowdowns this month again!  Anyways, I've added some complete anime reviews:

I don't know how much updates I do with this site now.  With a lot of anime stuff & workload at the hotel, I think I can't do a lot.  Probably once a month now.  Hopefully, that's not the case.  To end this off, ADV Films has licensed Keroro Gunsou.

Haven't done a lot here since I was pretty busy on other things & focusing on working on the next sale for tamago toys.

Anyways, what have I been up to these days.  Since the previous update, I got myself a new cell phone since my old one was draining battery life very quickly.  I almost need to charge it every 1.5 day.  I don't use it a lot & it's mainly in standby mode.  When I get a phone call, it would drop 1/3 of the battery.  In worse cases, 2/3 & I need to do a quick temporary charge before going out.  So, I got myself a Sony Ericsson W600i from a friend who's gone back to Taiwan.  It's used & I know it's old, but I like the style of the phone.  Not many of the new phones are appealling to me & the prices on the ones I like are out of my range.  Besides, it's actually a good phone in terms of battery life & reception.  Don't have any problems with it yet & I like to customize it with some anime stuff.  Also brought a set of Yujin Rozen Maiden gashapon straps since he had an extra set.

Work at the hotel?  It was surprisingly busy due to a number of conventions going around the area.  It really felt that I was still in high season mode since July!  Hopefully, it will slow down this month since I'm pretty stress out a bit & since have some minor coughing.  Plus, my new position as Assistant Manager isn't easy since I still need to do front desk work.  What a hassle!  Also, I've been assigned to redo the guest service directory for our hotel & need to get it complete before January.  It may sound like a lot of time, but it goes by fast in this field & I don't know what my manager is looking to add to it.

In PSP news, Sony released firmware 2.81.  I don't know when it came out really.  No major changes in it really.  Just more internet browser support & being able to update 4GB Memory Stick Duo Pros.  Also, it seems new games will require 2.71 & up.  I brought Dynasty Warriors Vol. 2 when it was released & that's the minimum firmware requirement for it.  Didn't want to buy the game initially because it was just 6 new characters in the game from what I heard.  But, it's pretty fun & a lot of improvements over the first one in my view.  But the game play feels really stiff.  Probably because I started out using new characters instead of old ones that I'm familiar with.

In Pinky news, the Range Munta have finally been released last month with two of the three being released already.  The wait for them has been very long, but I don't plan to buy them.  The bodies are basically repaints of the RM series, so it's not really something that I look forward in buying.  Also, the blister cards are bigger & longer than standard Pinky ones.  There will be a Pinky: Cos coming out which will feature Rebecca & Averil from Wild Arms the Vth Vanguard.  Cos are know to be limited in production, unless they get re-released in the future like the Eva ones.  Even though I haven't played the game or know anything about it, I plan to get this set as it does have some distinction from the other Pinky's out there.

In Anime news, a lot of licensed anime since the last update here.  For FUNimation, they have licensed the following:

For ADV Flims:

For Media Blasters:

Announced before, Media Blasters said that they have the second season of Ah! My Goddess.  Turns out that they didn't have it.  Some unknown company got it first before them.  Now, we need to wait & see who got the rights to that show.  Also, I've updated some old anime reviews to reflect the licensing changes which can be found as links in those lists.  xxxHOLIC is now a complete review & Le Chevalier D'Eon is a new brief review.

Now updates?  Aside from the two anime reviews mentioned on top, nothing really since I've been too busy.  Manage to archive the October 2006 stuff in the Past News Achieve section at least.  Don't know if I can get some more reviews here since I'm busy cleaning my room too.  Got a lot of DVDs that came in the mail last week & I need to get some space to put them.  Plus, cleaning out my shelves a bit for some room.
