Introduction I preordered this Misuzu Kamio PVC figurine from an online store which is now gone when I learned that an AIR figurine was being made. I was a fan of AIR & Misuzu as well. However, there wasn't a lot of pics of the figurine. Just her kneeing with the three dinosaur plushes. I couldn't see her face, but I took the risk of preordering it even though Toys Planning isn't a company that makes a lot of good quality & looking figures. I have sold this Misuzu away without the chance of opening it; even from the bubblewrap. |

The Review Even since I got Misuzu in the mail, I haven't remove the bubble wrap of it. So, I did't have a good look at her aside from the pics on the box. It's quite a nice box with the blue sky design really. The Misuzu figurine contains a display base & three dinosaurs. The dinosaurs can be display freely with the exception of the one in her arms. So, you can set them any way you like. The base I think doesn't have any pegs since Misuzu is kneeing. I don't believe there's any assembly required here. Pose wise, it's pretty unique. You don't see much figurines in that position holding a doll. Plus, you can adjust the scenery a bit with the extra dinosaurs. But, it's not going to affect much except the energy in the room. Also, it's going to depend on how well Misuzu's face is done. Can't really see much with all that bubble wrap. I've seen the actual product in the box at my local Japanese hobby shop. It's not too bad in terms of the paint job from what I seen. Plus, the face is so-so. It's not great, but it's not bad. Instead of it resembling the TV version as the box indicates, it's more closer to the game's design instead. |

Overall Conclusion I can't review this 1/8 Misuzu Kamio since I had it in the box & bubble wrap. Plus, I got rid of it. I couldn't see how the workmanship of the figurine is on the back side & how durable it is. Seeing it in stores, it's pretty much an okay figurine. Although I would prefer the Kotobukiya version over this in terms of workmanship & price, this version is a bit better when you talk about poses. Getting this version of Misuzu Kamio is pretty hard now. There used to be a lot of places still had this with no price drops. Now, it's gone. However, it was a bit pricey for an 1/8 PVC figurine back then. The Kotobukiya one is cheaper & that brand is well more established than Toys Planning. It's not something I would recommend getting, even if you are an AIRhead. |
