INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEERS OF ASCOT |

MS. ANNE ROBERTS, a Botanist
from England, worked with the Department of Forestry and Environmental Sciences at the
Bazal Campus from 1997 to September 2000. She helped in the establishment of the initial
projects of the Aurora Biodiversity Assessment and Conservation Program working closely
with ASCOT project member and staff, and community leaders in the target areas of the
program. Ms. Roberts is affiliated with the Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) Organization. |

JUNG-GUEN KIM (middle, with
ASCOT faculty) from Seoul, Korea worked with the faculty and students of the Department of
Engineering and Technologyfrom June 1999 to July 2001. His specialization is on
Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM), Computer Aided Engineering (CAE), and
Mechanical Vibration. Mr. Kim is under the auspices of the Korea International Cooperation
Agency (KOICA). |

MR. MATTHEW BLACKBURN, a Marine
Biologist/Coastal Resource Management Specialist from England is also under the VSO. He is
in ASCOT on a two year contract (2000-2002) to help in the development and establishment
of the various projects of the Marine Fisheries Technology Center. He is currently
focusing on the Wetland Habitat Assessment and Monitoring Project of ASCOT in conjunction
with the Pacific Seaboard Research and Development Program led by UP-MSI. |
