TYPES OF POINTE SHOES
*if you have more infomation on the different kinds of
pointe shoes. please email me.*

Capezio Contempora The Capezio Contempora is a good shoe for beginniners and advanced dancers. It has a number 2
(I think) shank which allows a short break in time. The wear time may be shorter if you have extremely strong feet and tend to over arch.
Capezio Aerial The Capezio Aerial. Some say that they are a very good shoe but others say that they don't like them because the bow pinches their feet and gives them Blood Blisters The shank is usually easy to break in.
Bloch I have heard that Bloch Pointe Shoes are very simalar to Aerials. The shank isvery hard and the box pinches. Or so I have been told. However, it is said that if you have very strong feet these may be quite good for you.
Gaynor Minden These shoes cost about $75 but they are worth every penny. They are very comfortable and very well constructed. the only bad thing about them is that they have a pre mad arch which makes it hard to roll through. The arch can bemolded to where you want it with a hair dryer, but it's not as flexible as some other pointe shoes.  Because the sole isn't flexible they are not reccommended to first or  second year Pointe students. You need a shoe that is flexible in order to strenthen your feet for advanced work.
Freed of London i uses freeds pointe shoes, i find them good although the shark is hard to break in but they are really comfortable and theydon't really cost very expensive (depending on the size) and u can really work your arch in them.
