:: Cant Play the Song ::

Do you remember that song we'd sing
Each time we went out for a drive?
You'd turn the volume up full blast
It sounded so Alive

The words we'd sing together
You'd look into my eyes
and together we'd sing the Chorus:
"True Love Never Dies"

You'd tell me that you loved me
And never would we part
You really got under my skin
And a place in my heart

I worshipped the ground you walked on
I thought of you day & Night
I'd listen to the words carefully
Realise it all sounded just right

When you & I parted
The song was all that I had
To help me remember the times we shared
But instead, it made me sad

The tears would roll down my face
Each time I heard the song
Couldn't tell anybody why i cried
As I didn't know what was wrong

Couldn't listen to the radio
Afraid of what they might play
Couldn't talk to my friends
Scared of the things they'd say

Everyone asked how you were
I didn't even know
How could you just deny your feelings
Drop everything & go?

Everywhere I look these days
The faces all seem the same
Everyone I talk to now
Seems to mention your name

I never know where to go
Never know what to do
Since you walked out on me
I've been missing you

Until you come back into my Life
It'll be hard to play the Song
All I ask of you now is
Dont leave me waiting too long.

: About this Poem :
I created this one after splitting up with the Ex, John. We had a song which we'd call "our song". It was called "True Love Never Lies" - and it resembled our feelings for one another.
Now that we're apart, each time I hear the song, It brings back memories - both good and bad.
