The NX-01 is the first ship built by Starfleet to feature the Warp 5 engine. The ship was designed by Henry Archer along with a team of Human and Vulcan engineers and built at San Francisco Yards at earth. The ship features one transporter unit, phase cannons, torpedoes and a grappler which can pull space debris or other vessels. Primary transportation off-ship is accomplished with the ship's shuttlepods. The NX-01 was launched in 2151 under the command of Jonathan Archer, Henry's son.
