Captain Jonathan Archer
Commanding Officer
The son of Enterprise designer Henry Archer, Jonathan grew up on earth watching his father work on starship development under the supervision of the overbearing Vulcans. Archer was instrumental in the completion of the Enterprise, taking over where his father left off. Enterprise wasn't scheduled to be launched when a Klingon crash landed on earth and was chased by Suliban. When the Klingon was injured by a frightened farmer and needed to be returned to Q'uonos, the Vulcans insisted that Starfleet not interfere. Archer persisted that he could take Enterprise and return the Klingon to his home. Archer has become involved in a temporal cold war with the Suliban who are receiving information from the future.
Sub-Commander T'Pol
Science Officer
A member of the Vulcan group sent to oversee earth's advancements, T'Pol was reluctantly assigned to the Enterprise when the ship was dispatched to return an injured Klingon to his homeworld. T'Pol had no interest in the mission but was merely following her orders. T'Pol found herself surrounded by humans who resented the Vulcans for their attitudes towards earth and their unwillingness to let humans control their own development. T'Pol was only supposed to be a temporary officer on the vessel but decided to remain aboard the ship as a permanent fixture as the ship's science officer. T'Pol has clashed with Captan Archer and the crew several times, and has developed an interesting dynamic with Trip. T'Pol was scheduled to leave Enteprise to be betrothed but she did not wish it.
Commander Charles 'Trip' Tucker III
Chief Engineer
A friend of Archer, Trip Tucker was assigned to Enterprise as the ship's Engineer. Trip grew up in the southern U.S. and has had little contact with aliens before his current assignment. Trip had a hard time adjusting to T'Pols' presence on the ship and often locked horns with her. There was also a power struggle as to their positions in the chain of command. Trip has dealt with many new and strange things since is time on the Enterprise, including becoming pregnant by an alien species.
Lieutenant Malcolm Reed
Armory Officer
Little is known about the ship's European Armory officer, other than that he seems to love his weapons. He is well-trained in the ship's arsenal and is protective of the ship's armory. Reed seems to be a very professional person and a very qualified member of the crew. Reed brought phase pistols aboard the ship and introduced them to Archer and the crew. He also seems to have developed nice friendships with most of the crew, including Trip and Mayweather.
Ensign Hoshi Sato
Communications Officer
Hoshi is a young linguistics scholar with a fascination for languages and a great fear of the uknown that lies in space travel. Hoshi was coerced by Archer to leave her teaching position in Brazil early to make the unexpected launch date of Enterprise. Hoshi became fascinated by the many languages she has heard during their mission but hasn't always been able to translate everything. She has, however, helped Archer and the crew establish friendly communication with alien species and prevent conflict.
Ensign Travis Mayweather
Helm Officer
Travis is probably the most at home on the Enterprise. He is known as a 'space boomer', someone who has spent more time in space than on earth. Travis grew up on cargo ships with his parents and is more accustomed to life on a starship. Working on Enterprise is a dream job for Mayweather since the ship has the most advanced propulsion system he's ever seen. Travis is also no stranger to aliens as a result of his background, and so he has been the most comfortable around strange life forms.
Doctor Phlox
Chief Medical Officer
A Denobulan, Phlox is perhaps the most exotic crew member on board the ship. Phlox was affiliated with the Vulcans when he was given the opportunity to treat the injured Klingon who crashed on earth. Archer recruited Phlox to join the Enterprise crew on their mission, since he was the only one qualified to handle alien medical needs. Phlox has become fascinated in earth culture and has a curious nature. However, he does seem to have a bit of a morbid side.
