Captain Jean-Luc Picard
Commanding Officer
Following the destruction of the Enterprise-D, Captain Picard was given command of a new Starship Enterprise, this one the 6th to be named. Picard spent only a year on the vessel when he ordered the Enterprise to earth to defeat the Borg. He followed the Borg back to the 21st century and tried to undo the damage to the timeline that the Borg caused. Picard was facing his greatest fears when he discovered the Borg had beamed onto the Enterprise. He led a team down to engineering to try and kill them but he found the belly of the ship assimilated and his crew becoming drones. Picard was driven by revenge to kill the Borg and had to be calmed by 21st century Lily Sloane. He met face to face with the Queen again but was able to kill her and save the Enterprise with Data's help. Picard later took the Enterprise to get Data when he malfunctioned on the B'aku homeworld. Picard uncovered a treacherous plot by the S'ona and he was determined to save the benevolent people and their planet. He also had a romance with one of the B'aku named Anij.

Commander William T. Riker
First Officer
Riker continued his role as Picard's first officer on the new Enterprise-E. Riker played a key role in helping restore the timeline after the Borg damaged it in the 21st century. Riker worked with Zefram Cochrane to repair the warp ship Phoenix and to convince Cochrane that he needed to make that warp flight in order to keep history in tact. Riker even made the groundbreaking trip with him. When the Enterprise encountered the B'aku, Riker found himself feeling younger and drawn to Troi once again. The two renewed their romance. Riker stayed on the Enterprise and fought off S'ona warships. Riker got a transmission to Starfleet then beamed Picard off the S'ona collector before it exploded.

Commander Beverly Crusher, M.D.
Chief Medical Officer
Crusher was still the Enterprise CMO when the ship encountered the Borg and travelled back in time. Beverly went down to 21st century earth and found human Lily Sloane suffering from radiation poisoning (it was leaking from the damaged warp ship). Beverly returned to the Enterprise with Lily but had to escape sickbay when the Borg tried to break in. Beverly snuck her medical staff out through the jeffries tubes and later was found by Worf. Beverly stayed on the bridge as Picard's first officer during the Borg incident. Beverly was also on the ship when the B'aku planet was in danger. She went with Picard down to the planet to defend its people. It was Beverly who made the shocking discovery that the S'ona and the B'aku were the same race of people, piecing together the puzzle.

Commander Deanna Troi
Ship's Counselor
Troi reprised her role as ship's counselor when the Enterprise-E was commissioned. Troi was integral to the away team sent down to 21st century earth when the crew went back in time to stop the Borg. Troi went undercover to try to locate Zefram Cochrane, and found him in a local bar where she ended up drinking with him in order to ask questions. Troi also had to help convince Cochrane to make his warp flight on April 5, 2063. When the Enterprise went to the B'aku planet Troi worked with Riker on research. Their closeness combined with the youthful side effects of the radiation cause them to reunite romantically. Troi even shaved Riker's beard off in a bubble bath. Troi went with Picard and the away team down to the planet surface to defend the B'aku people from the S'ona.

Lieutenant Commander Data
Second Officer, Operations Manager
Serving as ops officer on the Enterprise-E, Data was able to make great advances with his emotions chip after the crash of the Enterprise-D. While the chip had been fused, he now posessed the ability to turn the chip on or off, and to even remove the chip entirely. Data worked with Picard on the Enterprise to hunt down the Borg, and Data was captured by the collective during an encounter. Data had used an encryption code to keep the Borg out of the ship's computer core and the Borg needed him to gain complete control of the ship. Data was one of the first to encounter the Queen, the embodiment of the collective consciousness. Data was tempted by the Borg with flesh and blood, and he was torn between saving his friends or becoming human. In the end, Data betrayed the Borg and helped Picard defeat them. Data was reassigned to observe the B'aku village where he discovered the Holoship that Starfleet and the S'ona were going to use to relocate the aliens. To keep his mouth shut the S'ona attacked Data and damaged him. Data revealed himself and the observers to the villagers and held them hostage until the Enterprise recovered him and fixed the problem.

Lieutenant Commander Geordi LaForge
Chief Engineer
After Geordi's own visor was involved in the Enterprise-D's destruction at Veridian III, Geordi opted to replace the seeing device with optical implants. The implants replaced his regular eyes and allowed him to look more like other humans for the first time. Geordi kept the new Enterprise-E in top shape as it was the most advanced in Starfleet. Geordi worked with Zefram Cochrane to repair his damaged warp ship, and was on board the ship when Cochrane made his historic flight which led to first contact with the Vulcans. However, he had trouble convincing Cochrane to make the flight and accidentally informed him of history's opinion of Cochrane. When the Enterprise was in the briar patch at the B'aku planet, Geordi's eyes started to regenerate and he was able to remove the implants and see a sunset with normal vision for the first time in his life. Geordi went back to the Enterprise to help Riker fend off the S'ona warships, and had to dump the warp core to seal a subspace tear.
