Powers: Orginally, Carol, as Ms. Marvel, had the powers of flight, super-strength, invernability, and a seventh sense. Later, as Binary, Carol was granted the power of a white dwarf star, able to transform into a fire-blazing woman with power blasts, able to breathe in space, and other various abilities. However, as Warbird, her powers have dwindled, and she can no longer transform into Binary. Instead, she flies, shoots energy blasts, and can absorb energy into herself and return it as energy blasts. Carol also has a unique human/Kree hybrid DNA.

Origin: An intelligence officer for the government, Carol was a spy, often working alongside Canadian operative Logan, the man later known as Wolverine. However, on a case in Florida, Carol ran across the hero called Captain Marvel, and her life was changed forever. Blasted by a specialized weapon, Carol's DNA was transformed, and it now contained pieces of alien Kree DNA. The transformation gave Carol her orginal powers, and she became the heroine called Ms. Marvel.

History: Taking to super-hero career, Ms. Marvel fought against several foes, including the villianous Mystique. Her escapades soon earned her the attention of the Avengers, and she soon joined their presitigous ranks.
Ms. Marvel was a great addition to the team, with her no non-sense fighting style and training in other forms of esponsiage. However, Ms. Marvel's days as an Avenger would be numbered.
Ms. Marvel would mysterious become pregnent, and within a day, give birth the man called Marcus. Marcus, before the Avengers amazed eyes, grew into a man. He had fallen in love with Ms. Marvel, and wanted to take her back to Limbo with him. Ms. Marvel refused, but Marcus persisted.
Marcus had claimed her wanted to win Ms. Marvel's affection, but eventually, his patience wore thin. Using the machines of Limbo, Marcus made Ms. Marvel fall in love with him. And the Avengers, unknowing of Marcus's evil deed, let him take Ms. Marvel back with him to Limbo.
So, Ms. Marvel left the Avengers, and was soon trapped in Limbo. However, Marcus had misjudged the power of his machines. The same machine that allowed him to enter Earth through Ms. Marvel, speed up his own biological clock, and within days, Marcus was dead. The effects of Marcus's machinations wore off, and Ms. Marvel was free of his influence. Escaping, she ended up in San Fransico.
She refused to tell theAvengers of her whereabouts, because she felt betrayed that they had not stopped Marcus from taking advantage of her. However, one of her old enemies found her: the villianous Mystique, and Carol's life would once more change.
Mystique's foster daughter, the mutant Rogue, has the ability to absorb another person's power, memory, and psyche upon the slightest contact of skin. Carol battled Rogue over San Fransico, but lost. Rogue used her power on Ms. Marvel, but because she had no control, accidently permantently absorbed Carol's psyche, mind, and powers.
Saved by the orginal Spider-Woman, Carol was taken to see Professor X of the X-Men, and he managed to reverse some of the damage, giving her back her memories, but her powers were gone forever.
Later, Carol was attacked by the evil alien Brood. Imprisoned alongside the X-Men, Carol was experimented on by the Brood Queen, who was tinkering with Carol's unique DNA. Turning the process, the Brood Queen gave Carol new powers, the powers that would serve her as Binary.
The X-Men escaped from the Brood, but found that they had been implanted by Brood's eggs. Carol's powers manifested just in time to save the X-Men and herself, and the group, with help from the alien freedom fighters, the Starjammers, returned to Earth.
Carol, now called Binary, remained at the mansion for a period, although she never actually became an X-Man. Instead, when Rogue, the woman who had stolen her identity, came for help from Professor X, Carol left the mansion in rage.
She took to the stars, and found allies in the Starjammers. She fought for freedom in the farthest sides of the galaxy, and for a time, found some peace. However, the peace would not last. After the Avengers returned from the alternate world that Franklin Richards had created, a new Avengers team was formed, and Carol, now calling herself Warbird, was a part of it.
However, she was hiding a dark secret: she was an alcoholic and her power levels were diminishing. When her drinking nearly cost Warbird her life, the Avengers tried to expell her, but she quit before they could. Warbird left the mansion once again.
However, this time, Iron Man came to rescue her. A former alcoholic himself, Iron Man helped her through the pain and suffering, and Warbird once again became sober. With Iron Man's help, Warbird rejoined the Avengers. She remains with team today, helping them confront the dangers that threaten every life on Earth.
