Plot -
The Avengers (Beast, Wasp, Captain America, Falcon, Ms. Marvel, Iron Man, Vision, and
Hawkeye) await for the authorities after the villain Absorbing Man got away. However,
after Hawkeye was recently replaced on the team by the newcomer Falcon, he decides to
leave the Avengers for good, before they can head back to the mansion. Jarvis greets them
at the door, and the Avengers return to their "normal" lives. Inside the
mansion, awaits Jocasta. After watching Ms. Marvel and Iron Man flirt, she decides to seek
out the Vision, with help with her inability to communicate to the others. However, he is
a little comfort to her, as his wife is off in Europe. The Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver
have been on a search to find their true parentage, returning to the mountains where they
were raised. They meet their father there, the man who raised them, Django Maximoff.
During the night however, Quicksilver can not sleep. His mind wonders to the question of
trusting Django's story and comparing it with the one he and his twin sister always
believed: that the World War II heroes Miss America and the Whizzer were their parents.
However, the Scarlet Witch is interupted more forcibly by a strange sorcerer calling
himself Mordred. She accepts his offer of help, and he whisks them away to Mount
Wundagore, a place of magic. However, after seeing the majestic castle on the mountain's
peak, Mordred turns on the Scarlet Witch knocking her unconscious. In the morning,
Quicksilver awakes to find his sister missing. He runs at full speed towards the mountain,
but is literally knocked back down the mountain by a forcefield. When he awakes, he finds
himself in the care of Bova, the half-human, half-cow who was responsible for bringing
Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch into the world! |
