Episode 157- Pierce Through Naraku! Kongosoha!
Kagome was flying around yelling for Inuyasha on one of the skeletal demon birds after Inuyasha was attacked by the Diamond Demon (can't remember his name...sorry) and fell to the canyon floor. Just then, Naraku's evil presence is felt by all as he makes his appearance. He seems to have waited until Inuyasha was defeated before showing himself. Naraku floats up to the Diamond Demon and reaches his tentacles out to obtain the shikon shard embedded deep beneath the demon's diamond-armor-like-skin, and just then the light of Inyasha's kaze-no-kizu slices through Naraku's tentacles, stopping him in time from reaching the shard. He and Naraku fight, and Inuyasha tries several different attacks on Naraku, from the Kaze-no-kizu to Bakuruuhya with no success. His last attack on Naraku catapults him into the Diamond Demon and he is trapped there. While he is trapped, Naraku reaches into the Diamond demon and pulls out the last shikon shard, right from under Inuyasha's nose. In the meantime, Kagura has shown Sesshoumaru the gateway to the underworld and he has entered past the two rock guardians using Tenseiga. The rock guardians recognize the sword as a "sword of the underworld" and let Sesshoumaru pass through the gate unharmed and unchallenged (I did wonder why Inuyasha couldn't get through with Tessaiga, though...it is also supposed to be a sword of the underworld...just a thought). Inside, as Inuyasha lays defeated, Sesshoumaru enters the fight in a spectacular way by throwing a huge ball of blue light at Naraku, surprising him and stopping his attack on the trapped Inuyasha for a moment. For some reason Sesshy was ticked off at Inuyasha for making a mess of their father's gravesite and he decked him, then turned his attention back to defeating Naraku. Naraku belittles and makes fun of Sesshoumaru's attempts to defeat him, even going so far as to stick tenticles of himself outside his barrier so that Sesshoumaru will attack them and expel shouki all over the place. When Naraku asks Sesshoumaru if he is worried about getting shouki all over and dissolving everyone/everything, Sesshoumaru replies that "he is not concerned over the fate of a few mere humans", and continues to fight. (What a swell guy) Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, Jaken and the Diamond Demon are all inside Inu's Dad's stomach when the Demon challenges Inuyasha to "break open his skull" in order to obtain the diamond spear blast power. Inu asks him what will happen to him (the demon) if he does that, and the demon asks him why was he worried about it, because if Inu fails, he would die from the diamond spears that would become imbedded in him as he tried to break the skull open. Inu thinks that this seems fair, for either the demon dies, or Inu will die trying to obtain the power of the Diamond demon, so he takes Tessaiga and tries to break open the skull with no success. After several attempts to break open the skull, and also seeing that Naraku and Sesshoumaru are still fighting outside and getting shouki all over the place and putting his friends in imminent danger, Inu stops. He is bleeding profusely from his attempts to break open the skull and all the the diamond fragments that had come "shooting up" towards him, but he tells everyone to get farther back into the cave since he can dispell the shouki with his kaze-no-kizu. The demon asks him why he would put his friends above gaining a new power and Inu tells him that "that's just how I am". The demon's eyes glow very red just as Inuyasha walks to the front opening of the cave and releases the kaze-no-kizu to disperse the shouki, and behold, diamond spears shoot out of the blade along with the wind. Inu is astounded, but the demon tells him that it was because his put the other's benefit before his own, otherwise the diamond spears that had imbedded themselves in Inu's body while he was trying to break open the demon's skull would have killed him (Inuyasha) instead. Inuyasha launches a full diamond spear attack on Naraku, piercing him through the heart, and Sesshoumaru slices Naraku for good measure, so Naraku is forced to leave, badly mangled. Just as he leaves, Kagome sees the shard still within Naraku, and takes out the arrow that was given to her by Kikyou and shoots it at Naraku, further damaging him and forcing him to drop the shikon shard. Naraku does manage to escape, but barely...he is badly damaged and makes it back to a hut in the "real" world where Hakudoushi is waiting in a barrier for him to return to, along with Kohaku and Kagura. He has to piece himself together again. Sesshoumaru leads the way (not because he's a good guy or anything, just because he's going that way) out of the underworld with Inu, Kagome and the rest of the gang following behind him.

Episode 158- A Stampede of Countless Demon Mice
In this episode, Naraku is mulling about Kikyou's arrows while Hakudoushi is healing himself. He want Kikyou dead because of her strong miko powers, but she is hiding so well that even he cannot sense her. Meanwhile, Kagura and Kohaku sit just outside, Kagura telling herself that now she is sure that the heart of Hakudoushi and Naraku is in the other half of Hakudoushi; the baby. Similarly, Kohaku is wondering why Naraku and Hakudoushi cannot die, and wondering what he can do to defeat Naraku. Kagura gets his attention and tells him about the baby, and that unless he can defeat Naraku, there would be nothing left for him, since as soon as the shard is taken out of his back, he will die. He plans to continue to take Naraku's orders, trying not to betray the fact that he has regained his memories. Eventually, he thinks, he will get to the baby again. Meanwhile, Inuyasha had gone back to the place where he saw Kikyou, but there was nothing but a memory. Upon returning, Kagome 'sits' him numerous times for hurting her several times. After Hakudoushi heals, Naraku orders him to go and flush out Kikyou by any means necessary. He tells Kohaku to go with him; Hakudoushi seems amused about something. Hakudoushi and Kohaku find a demon rat feasting on the leftover bones of his minions; he attempts to eat Hakudoushi. Kohaku kills him quickly, and Haku orders him to take the "zushi" that was on his back. A zushi is a portable shrine used by wandering priests. They take the zushi to a rocky field and open it; millions and milions of one eyed demon rats pour out of it with no end. They immedately devour whole villages, and cutting them only makes them multiply. Inuyasha and crew encounter them and find out that fact the hard way. Sango states the only way to kill them is with poison smoke; but they have no such herbs on hand. So they have to find the zushi and destroy it; it will make all the rats dissapear. The plan had worked; Kikyou indeed notices the multitude of rats, and sends Kochou to find particular tree branch called Ogatama. Inuyasha and crew finally figure out why the rats were set loose. Upon returning with the branch, Kikyou draws a perfect star shape in the ground and sticks the base of the branch in the middle. Soon, a huge tree grows from that one branch that goes right into the heavens. The rats are immediately drawn to this tree, and Inuyasha and crew notice their change in direction. Miroku deduces that a mayose is being performed; a method to attract demons and defeat them all at once. He also says it can't be done without strong holy powers. So they split up; Inuyasha, Kagome, and Shippou to find Kikyou; Sango, Miroku and Kirara to the source of the rats. Meanwhile at the source, Hakudoushi senses Kikyou and leaves Kokahu to guard the zushi, and warns him not to close its doors. Again, he seems amused. Kohaku wants to close the doors of he zushi, but Naraku's insects are watching him. But before he can decide on anything, Miroku, Sango, and Kirara find him. Sango is devastated to see that Kohaku was behind the rats. It's all that Kohaku can do not to call out her name. Sango says that she had hoped that he wasn't involved in this. With obvious effort, Kohaku says that he cannot disobey orders from Naraku. With furious tears, Sango leaps from Kirara with a yell toward Kohaku with Hiraikotsu at the ready.

Episode 159- Kohaku's Resolution and Sango's Heart
Sango attacks Kohaku, who finally makes a decision to close the zushi and halting the stream of rats. She pursues her brother while Miroku keeps a vigilant eye on the river of rodents. So far, Kikyo’s Mayose spell is working, attracting the rats to the oyadama tree. At the great tree, Kagome, Inuyasha and Shippo watch the multitude of rats climbing its heights to their death. Inuyasha scans for Kikyo but she’s gone. As if reading Inuyasha’s mind, Hakudoshi appears, cursing Kikyo for her interference. Demonstrating his aggravation, Hakudoshi attacks the oyadama tree with gigantic slugs. Inuyasha retaliates, attacking Hakudoshi. Wounded, Hakudoshi departs, giving Inuyasha a message for Kikyo: until she reveals herself to Naraku, more incidents like the rat plague will happen. Unable to pursue the brat, Kagome and Inuyasha do the next best thing; try to save the oyadama tree and salvage Kikyo’s Mayose spell. Though they destroy the slugs, the creatures have killed the tree and the Mayose spell is broken. The rats start their rampage again. While Sango chases Kohaku, Miroku notices the rats have changed direction and are headed straight towards them! Stalling for time, Miroku uses his Wind Tunnel to protect Sango and Kohaku. Sango finally pins Kohaku hoping to reason with him. As the Saimyoushou hover ominously over the siblings, Kohaku knows he must continue to act like Naraku’s loyal minion in order to destroy him. Even at the expense of breaking his sister’s heart. Back at the tree, Inuyasha makes the decision to go: the Mayose spell is broken. The only way to destroy the terrible tide of rodents is to find and destroy the zushi. Traveling on Shippo (his “balloon form”) Inuyasha and Kagome race back to Miroku and Sango. En route, Inuyasha senses trouble, catching the scent of blood - Sango’s blood! He leaves Kagome and Shippo to rush ahead. Kohaku manages to escape Sango, but is overtaken by the rats. They wash over him like a living wave, and Sango races to his rescue on Kirara while Miroku tries to stem the tide of rats. Sango pulls Kohaku from the rats, and then tries to break the zushi with her Hiraikotsu. She is appalled a barrier protects it. Beating on the zushi desperately, the mice inundate Sango, too. Miroku flails at the swarm with his staff, watching helplessly as Kirara attempts to pull Sango and Kohaku from the rat pile, only to be sucked down into the living mass. Inuyasha arrives and finds the trouble he anticipated - Sango, Kohaku and Kirara buried beneath a blanket of demon mice with Miroku about to join them! Suddenly a glowing arrow slices through the chaos, piercing and destroying the zushi’s barrier -- Kikyo’s purifying arrow. Wasting no time, Inuyasha crushes the zushi with Tetsusaiga and the demon rats vaporize. Arriving by air, Kagome and Shippo watch the horde disappear and spot Kikyo and her shinidama in the distance. As the air clears around them, Inuyasha spots Kikyo as she turns to go; Miroku only has eyes for Sango. She and Kohaku are on the ground, unconscious and wounded by the rats. Kohaku regains consciousness in Sango’s protective embrace; he grieves for his sister’s wounds, remorseful for the pain emotional suffering he’s caused her. Sango wakes and, despite her condition, beams with joy to see her brother alive. She tenderly caresses her brother’s cheek, but Kohaku bolts away from her, fearful of revealing his true heart to Sango. Sango’s heart breaks as she tearfully watches Kohaku leave her again, spirited away by Hakudoshi. Kohaku also suffers, leaving his sister with another bad memory, but his resolve is firm: he must continue to deceive Naraku in order to destroy him even at the expense of his sister’s feelings. Later, the team recovers in a hut deep in the woods. Outside, Shippo expresses concern for Sango, but Inuyasha reassures him she’ll recover. Kagome worries more about the wounds in Sango’s heart. Inside the hut Miroku watches over Sango. Sango tells him about the conflict she feels towards Kohaku. She can’t forgive her brother, but she can’t hate him either, and wonders why she saved him from the rats. Miroku asks her if she’s sorry she protected Kohaku and Sango replies she’d be sorrier if she didn’t. Miroku takes her hand, and assures her she did the right thing by following her heart. Elsewhere Kikyo surveys the devastation from the demon mice Naraku sent to coax her out of hiding. Cutting a lock of her hair, Kikyo gives it the shikigama girls, Asuka and Kocho with orders to fly around with the tress. It’s Kikyo’s turn to try and entice Naraku down from his web.

Episode 160- The Violent, Two-Timing Boy Who Brings Happiness
It begins with Kagome going home and promising to return with more medicine and stuff for her first aid kit. Kaede and Inuyasha are at Kikyo's shrine, talking about her and how Kagome helped her heal. In modern time, Kagome is glad to be home, but unhappy at feeling second best to Kikyo. Meanwhile, Sango and Miroku are hoping Kagome is all right and more or less tell Inuyasha he should care about Kagome's needs. He doesn't see where he went wrong and she didn't seem troubled enough to want to talk about it. Sango apparently doesn't like this and tells him not only to shut up, but to Sit, which scares Inuyasha for a second, thinking maybe his body would also collide with the ground. Seeing it doesn't,they know they're in for a long night. Kagome's mom gave her a slightly used bike, since her old one was busted up. And she gets to polishing it up and Souta comments how bright and shiny it is....... until Inuyasha shows up and literally falls on it. Naturally, she yells her head off at him, that the bike was a neighbor's and she worked to get it looking better, and why he was there; you see where I'm going. He tries to fix it, but ends up making it worse. She tells him to leave it alone, and not touch it. He tells her he knows she's mad and she says she's fine, and he eggs her to the point of getting sat. She leaves for school, where her friends talk about her two-timing delinquent boyfriend who will have to choose her or Kikyo. They even try to make her feel better about playing second fiddle, when Kagome lets slip he just crashed her house that very morning. And they get excited and want to see him. And no matter what Kagome says, they won't be swayed; they're going home with her after school. Inuyasha feels bad for banging the bike, and Kagome's mom encourages him to try his best, but no matter what, his temper gets the best of him when his good intentions fly into outer space and he totals the bike to scrap metal. Kagome tries to really talk her friends out of coming with her, but they tag along. She hopes that they won't find out he's not human and they wonder if she's getting sick again. Impressed and depressed on how bad the bike is, Inuyasha's worried about Kagome's reaction and even Souta can't help but look. He does try to help out, that if he gave something to her to make up for the bike and its repair. Souta informs him that if he had jewels like diamonds he could buy her a new bike, and with his newfound power in the Tetsusiaga, and ends up scaring the life out of Souta, who adamantly tells him to cut it out and it's not working. Souta then suggests asking his grandfather for work to do so he can repair the bike he broke. And he gets to helping straighten out the storage shed, wearing a scarf on his head. He seems to be having a good time, despite being called "Part-Timer". Kagome finds the broken bike and yells for him, while her friends wonder about the bike being art and if he's a yankee. Her grandfather informs him Kagome's home and called for him; he tells him it's his imagination. While bringing a vase over to him, she righteously sits him, breaking a vase and bringing a entire wall of shelves down on him, reducing her grandfather to tears. He then, disappears for a short while, much to the disappointment of her friends. They start to relax in Kagome's room, and she goes to get some tea for her friends, when he shows up asking where she is. He's still got the scarf on his head from cleaning the shed, so they can't see his ears. They recognize Inuyasha who messed the recital up. The guy who took Hojo on during the play. They stay till sunset, asking him all sorts of questions, like if he's half and where's he's from. In the end, they like him. This comforts Kagome a lot, knowing her friends are fine with him. He asks her if she really needed, and she asks what, and he reminds her of the bike, and tells her she doesn't need it; he'll carry her. She lets him know she's not angry over it anymore. He really must have won her friends over.

Episode 161- Miroku's Old Mistake
At the begining of this episode you see Kagura and Naraku standing infront of a prison door where Mouryoumaru is (although he is looking a lot more grotesque from when we last saw him)Kagura asks who he is and Naraku replies nevermind and to just look after him and that that will be her last job for him. The scene then switches to the Inu-gang. The gang is rushing towards a village. Inu tells Miroku that he should have stayed with Kaede untill he got better. The gang start questioning this ''Medecine that cures all'' that Kaede told them about and wonder if there is really such a thing. There is a flashback to when they are in Kaedes' hut and she tells them about this ''Medicine Vendor'' who can cure all. When they gang reaches the village they talk to a women who has met the Medicine Vendor, she says that he was one of the most handsom men she has ever seen. Inu then later picks up the scent of a different medicinal plant, and youkai! Kagome comments on how Sango is so eager to find a cure for the Samyoushou's poisen that Miroku was attacked with (Aww ^_^) The gang later meet another women who was treated by the Medicine Vendor. They notice some fang marks on her neck and the women says she has no Idea where those came from. Inu says they better act fast because this Medicine Vendor doesn't seem to be very good news for women. Sango proposes that she and Inuyasha go and find the Medicine Vendor, and leave Kagome to take care of Miroku. Miroku then tells Sango to not fall for whatever the Medicine Vendor tells her ( Kagome and Inu are inthe backround and Kagome goes all dreamy and says ''Aww he's jealous that Sango will fall for this other man) But Sango doesn't listen to Miroku and says she is going anyways. So Inu is sniffing around for the scent of the Medicine Vendor and Sango is close behind. Inu is near and cliff and he starts sniffing around and looks as though he is drunk. He then launches himself at a group of butterflies flying near by and falls off the cliff. (It's quite humorous) Sango leaps off of the cliff to save Inu but she is snaged by a bunch of poisonous vines, also the Juzo beads Miroku gave her for protection break! The Medicine Vendor then appears and tells Sango that he will help her. (And yes, he is very handsome) Sango has a very shocked look on her face. The Medicine Vendor says that he will give her an antidote to cure all in return for this: He grabs her and reveals his fangs and starts lowering his head to her neck. Sango tries to resist but her body is paralyzed. Scene goes to Miroku and Kagome. Miroku has a worried look on his face. A very funny looking/ugly man tells them that him and his wife have been happily married for years but ever sibce shes returned she would look at his face and sigh in dissapointment. Miroku asks if the man thinks this could be the work of Youkai trickory. Back to Sango. She is trying to resist the Medicine Vendor. Inu then leaps out of -no where- and starts biting the Medicine Vendor in the head, but he vanishes. Inu asks Sango if she is OK and she says that her neck stings. You then see the Medicine Vendor and he starts biding Sango toward him. Sango goes all dreamy/drunk looking and starts walking toward the Medicine Vendor, Inu tries stopping her but she pushed him over and says ''shut up''. Kirara goes to fetch Kagome and Miroku, they both scence something bad has happened so they follow her to where Inu is. Inu tells them that the Medicine Vendor has taked Sango with him, Miroku is looking very worried and is now afraid that Sango might have actually fallen for this man. The scene changes to Sango and the Medecine Vendor again, they are sitting on a giant lily pad in the middle of the lake. Sango is still in her dreamy state, but when she notices the Medicine Vendor trying to bite her she snaps back to reality. Sango smacks the Medicine Vendor hard and he says ''WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?'' and Sango yells back ''THATS MY LINE!You better not have done anything weird when I was under your spell!'' The Medicine Vendor then puts on thisy grin and says ''And what if I have..heheh'' Sango gives him a death glare and he quickly tells her that it was a joke. He starts explaining his reason for doing what he did. He tells her that to go back to his original form he has to suck the blood of an ideal women. Inu tells Miroku and Kagome that they are close by and that they need to act fast if they want to get to Sango in time. Miroku jumps on Kirara and they fly away. Kagome sighs and says ''I knew he was worried''. Miroku and Kirara fly over head of Sango and the Medicine Vendor. From Miroku's point of view it looks as if the too are cuddling, but the Vendor is only trying to suck her blood. Miroku launches himself at the man and beats him up and asks Sango if she is OK. The rest of the gang turn up and Sango explain everything to them, and that the Medicine Vendor will give her an antidote in return. Miroku seems to be having a hard time to beleive the whole story, but in the end he trusts Sangos' words. Kagome then asks why Sangos' hand wouldn't work to break the Curse. The Medicine Vendor sighs and says it will work just fine. He quickly bites Sango's hand Miroku says ''Uh...he vanished?'' They notice a Misquito flying away and it says to them ''Thank you for freeingme. I have sprinkled the antidote on your hand'' At the end of the episode Inu is questioning what this antidote that cures all is. Kagome tells them that it's an antidote to cure the itchyness of misquito bites...And that's the end of the episode!

Episode 162- Together With Sesshoumaru-sama Forever
The episode starts out with a group of bandits attacking a village. Sesshoumaru is watching the bandits attack the village and the bandits try to attack Sesshoumaru. But, Sesshoumaru kills them. Then, a group of monks that hate youkai see Sesshoumaru while he's killing the bandits, so they attack him. But, Sesshoumaru leaves. Inuyasha and co. are in a village and find out that all the village children are missing. They offer to help if they could have a place to stay but the guy at the village said that Ungai and his monks will take care of it. Inuyasha and co. are all depressed because they have to camp out. Ungai and co. spot Rin in a forrest and mistake her for one of the village children, so they try to take her back, but she runs away on AhUn. Rin is talking to Jaken about what Sesshoumaru will do after he beats Naraku. Jaken says that Sesshoumaru wants to become the strongest youkai and have his own empire and that Jaken will be the minister. Rin asks what she will do and Jaken says that it will take a couple hundred years and Rin would probably die. While Jaken is sleeping Rin declines what Jaken says and says that she will be with Sesshoumaru forever. All of a sudden a flute starts to play and Rin walks off with the youkai playing the flute. The Inuyasha gang is camping out and Miroku starts talking about hos Ungai shows no mercy towards youkai, which scares Shippou. Ungai and co. come across the Inu group and start questioning them about Shippou and Kirara;that it is unsafe to travel with youkai. Inuyasha in human form then starts telling the monks to leave. Ungai then tells Inuyasha that his sword has youkai power and it is unsafe. Inuyasha then tells Ungai to mind his own business and Ungai and co. leave. Jaken is out looking for Rin when Sesshoumaru comes in and questions Jaken about where Rin is. Jaken says that Ongokuki (youkai that abducts children the sound of a flut and sells them to other youkai) because he heard a flute. Sesshoumaru then leaves without Jaken. The youkai took Rin to a cave full of children. Rin then regains her senses and asks the children what happened. They say that she has also been kidnapped by the youkai. All of the children are scarred. Rin tells them not to be scared and that bandits are skarier than youkai because bandits kill people for no reason. Rin says her parents were killed by youkai and that somebody will come and save them. Jaken is looking for Rin and Sesshoumaru when he bumps into the Inuyasha gang. Jaken tells them that a youkai took Rin. He then asks if they saw Sesshoumaru looking for Rin. The Inu group says that they have not seen him so Jaken then walks off yelling for Sesshoumaru and Rin. Ungai and co. set a trap for the youkai and kill him. Then they free all the townchildren and ask if there is anyone else. Ungai goes back into the cave and sees Rin again and tells her that he will take her back to the town. Rin says she's fine. Ungai then carries her out of the cave while she's screaming. Then Rin says that Sesshoumaru will save her. Sesshoumaru is listening in the forrest when Ungai notices him and throws something towards him. Ungai and co. recognize Sesshoumaru from the day before. Sesshoumaru starts walking and Ungai and co are trying to kill Sesshoumaru. So they use the same move they used on Ongokuki. It doesn't even scratch Sesshoumaru. The Inu group is now trying to find Sesshoumaru because Inuyasha says that Sesshoumaru is unaffected by human attacks and will most likely kill the monks. Ungai then tells his group to bind Sesshoumaru's legs. While they are attempting to do that...Sesshoumaru's half transforms into his true youkai form and his youkai energy breaks the staffs of the monks and blows them away. The Inu group is watching from the trees. Rin runs up to Sesshoumaru and Sesshoumaru tells her to do what she wants (either go with the monks or come with him). Rin was going to follow Sesshoumaru when Ungai grabs her hand and tells her not to go. She tells him to leave her alone and she continues to follow Sesshoumaru...Ungai the says that humans and youkai live in different worlds...then Rin stops and remembers what Jaken says about Rin going to die...and then she waves goodbye to Ungai and she follows Sesshoumaru. The village children are back in their village and hugging there parents. Ungai notices Kagome and asks her why she travels with youkai...like Inuyasha...but he then walks off and says she doesn't have to answer. Jaken is on a hill still looking for Sesshoumaru and Rin when he runs into them. Sesshoumaru asks Jaken wher AhUn was and Jaken runs off to get them. While Jaken is gone...Rin spots some graves and asks Sesshoumaru not to forget her if she dies. Jaken returns with AhUn and Sesshoumaru starts to alk away. Jaken asks where he is going and Sesshoumaru says that he is looking for Naraku (Duh!!). Jaken asks if he could come (what's up with that) and Rin says yes.

Episode 163- Kohaku, Sango, Kirara, The Secret Garden
As the episode title suggests, this episode is about Sango, Kirara, and Kohaku. The episode starts off by Kirara sitting on a flowerbed observing the sky and mountains. The rest of the group, except Sango is having lunch under a tree. Sango is visibly agitated and shaking. She is worried about the whereabouts of Kirara. Inuyasha turns around and tells Sango that where Kirara is not something to be worried about and she should quit being a worrywart. Shippou interjects and says he has noticed Kirara heading out more often. Miroku replies that they are near where Sango was born and, he speculates she is having nostalgia. The scene shifts, where Kirara is in a forest. The scene shifts again, this time to Kohaku. Kohaku is next to a dilapidated house. Kagura tells Kohaku she will be attempting to probe out Kikyou and flies off. The scene returns to Kirara. She walks out of the forest and suddenly stops. Kirara reminisces a scene of her between Sango and Kohaku when they were adolscents. All three are lying on their backs, staring into the sky, watching the birds, and smiling to each other. The scene changes back to Kohaku. Kohaku hops from branch to branch to his hometown village. He immediately kneels down adjacent to the graves of his fallen comrades who had died from his scythe. He recalls the slaugther where Naraku had manipulated him to massacre his fellow demon hunters. The grim reminisce ends with the image of his scythe impaling Sango. Kohaku clearly has qualms over how the events played that night. It is blatantly clear the events of that night scar him profoundly. The scene shifts back to Kirara, who is now next to a stream. Kirara has another nostalgic lapse. This time she recalls Sango, Kohaku, and the men of the village. Kohaku and Sango are trying to catch fish with their bare hands. The men of the village are next to a fire taking a rest. Kohaku spots a fish, lunges, misses, and falls over backwards as the men let out playful laughter. Kirara then remembers how she deftly caught a fish with a swipe of her paw as both Sango and Kohaku gasps in amazement and a burst of giggles shortly following after. The scene goes back to Kohaku who is now taking a stroll. He suddenly stops and studies a cave to his right. He then recalls another childhood memory. He and Sango are taking refuge from the rain inside the cave. Kohaku let's out a sneeze, and Sango reacts by drying Kohaku's hair off with a piece of cloth. Kohaku is embarrassed but acquiescence to his sister's kind gesture. The scene goes back to Kirara who is in a forest. She has another flashback. This time, Kohaku is trying to avoid being mauled by a bear. Kohaku crashes into a tree and barely escapes the deathblow from the bear. His sister Sango appears in her youkai killing suit and hurls her boomerang at the bear. The bear backs away from Kohaku and gawks at Sango, and Sango stares down the bear with her boomerang poised. Kirara, realizing the gravity of the situation and leaps in front of Sango and transforms. The bear is deterred and flees. Sango then spots a wound on Kohaku's knee. She brandishes a clamshell from under her shoulder pad, and opens the lid. She applies the balm inside the clamshell on Kohaku's wound. Kohaku gives her thanks and tells his sister to wait for him and runs off. Moments later, Kohaku comes running back with flowers in his hands. He hands them to his sister and smiles from ear to ear. Sango smells the flowers and tells him they are beautiful. As all this happens, Kirara is watching and meows happily. Then the flashback disappears and Kirara sits alone in a forest. Without warning, there is sharp rustling in the bushes. The acuity of Kirara's ear quickly tone in. She turns to the rustling bush, but then hears more rustling from all the other surrounding bushes. Feeling she is being threatened, she transforms. Then a group of youkai emerge from all flanks and Kirara realizes she has no choice but to stand her ground and protect herself. The scene changes back to the group. Inuyasha complains the tea is too hot. The group turns around to Sango and informs her that the tea is ready. The group still notices Sango is agitated that Kirara is still out adventuring, and they adamantly tell her Kirara is fine and her worry is unnecessary. Their advice falls to deaf ears as Sango's intuition drives her to go out searching for Kirara. The scene changes back to Kirara who is now fending off the youkais. She seems to have the upper hand at first, but then a youkai takes a swing at her faces and leaves a wound. Kirara reels back and realizes she is sorely outnumbered. Two youkais flank her from behind poised to attack, but they are eradicated in midair. The long chain link pulling back makes it obvious Kohaku was Kirara's savior. Kirara looks up at the Kohaku standing on top of a tree branch. He jumps down next to Kirara and the youkais advances a step closer. Kahaku tells Kirara to get ready and both swifty decimate the group of youkai. The scene changes to find Sango running in the forest. She takes heed when she spots Kagura perched on a tree branch and stops running. The scene quickly reverts back to Kohaku and Kirara who are both next to a stream cooking two fish. They both start eating the fishes. Kohaku makes conversation and asks Kirara how Sango is faring. Kirara replies with a meow and Koohaku understands the answer she is doing okay. Kohaku then finally admits he still cannot go visit to Sango. The scene changes back to Sango and Kagura. Kagura asks if Sango knows the whereabouts of Kikyou. Sango ignores her question and quickly retorts by asking if she knows where Kohaku is. Kagura gives her a hint that Kohaku is that up ahead and Sango burst out into running. Kagura then asks what Sango will do if she found him. She snaps back by saying it is none of her business. Then Kagura proceeds to tell Sango that even if she does find Koraku, Naraku won't release his control of him until is dead. Irked by the comment, she reiterates that it is none of her business and storms off. As Sango runs, she realizes so many people are dead because of Kohaku. The scene changes back to Kohaku and Kirara. Kohaku says that it is his fault. And thus, since so many people are dead, the least he says he can do is kill Naraku. He vows to kill Naraku. He admits he does not know the outcome and even if he would survive. The scene then changes to a recollection from Kohaku. It is dusk and the demon hunters have returned to the village. Kohaku calls out to his sister, and she waves. The two sit with Kirara in the stairs of their house watches the celebration and dancing of the youkai hunters. The scene reverts back to Kohaku and Kirara. Kirara comes forward and Kohaku pets her head. He discovers the slash wound made earlier by the youkai. He reaches inside his shirt and takes out the clamshell balm. He applies the balm on the wound and smiles. The scene goes back to Sango who has reached the village. She goes next to the graves of her comrades and finds an arrangement of sticks and wonders if Kohaku has made it. She then runs off and the scene changes back to Kohaku and Kirara. They are now walking in the forest and Kohaku tells Kirara that he will show her his secret place. The scene changes back to Sango who discovers the slain corpses of the youkai that was killed earlier. She then runs off to a direction that she believes Kohaku might have taken. She is suddenly aghast as Kagura's earlier comment of what she will do if she finds Kohaku finally sinks in. She stops and ponders and has recollections of Kohaku taking a slash with his scythe at Kagome, the time he ambushed Inuyasha in the village he massacred, and the time he killed castle gaurds to protect Naraku's baby. Even from all those recollections, Sango shakes them off and realizes Kohaku is still her little brother. She then starts to run off again. The scene changes to back to Kohaku and Kirara. Kohaku led her to a place with tall grass, butterflies, and flowers. He then says he wishes he can show his sister and his secret place. He proceeds to pick a bouquet of flowers. Kohaku and Kirara walk back to the stream, and both are saying their goodbyes. Kohaku gets teary and has to make an effort to turn away from Kirara and walk away. Meanwhile, Sango and Kohaku are on the same road, coming towards teach other. In her passion to see her brother, Sango wails out Kohaku's name. Kohaku is in earshot and hears his sister. He is gobsmacked and runs to the nearest large tree for cover. He slowly rears his head and sees his sister running. He whispers out "big sister" and reaches out with his hand. Realizing what he was doing, Kohaku caught himself in time and jerked back his hand before can Sango spot him. The tormenting anguish of letting his sister, whom he loved, whom he had known all his life, whom he had sorely missed... To see her inches away, yet letting her run by induced the most profound feelings of torturous despair for Kohaku. Kohaku sorrowfully wept behind the tree as his nails dug into the bark. Meanwhile, Sango is still frantically running hoping to find Kohaku, when Kirara jumps in front of her. Kirara motions to Sango to follow her and Sango follows. Kirara leads Sango into Kohaku's secret garden. Sango is in awe of seeing such a garden of flowers. Kirara fulfills Kohaku's wish. Sango pets Kirara and finds the cut on her head. She notices the ointment and immediately Kohaku comes into her mind. She then has a flashback of the time of how elated she was the day Kohaku gave her flowers. She then realizes Kohaku is with her and again wails out Kohaku's name and weeps. Sango then returns to the rest of the group, ridding of all evidences she has cried. Kohaku returns to the dilapidated house where Kagura is. The episode ends with a picture of Sango, Kirara, and Kohaku all sitting down together in the secret garden as they did in their youth.

Episode 164- The Most Powerful Enemy, Parasite-Pupa Shippou
So, at the beginning of today's episode we get a recap of going to the grave and getting Kongousouha, followed by the subsequent ratting adventure. And then Naraku steals Fuyouheki and is toting it around feeling way too proud of himself at the end of the episode. "Ha ha, I swiped an orby thing off a pedestal. FEAR ME!" Best Moment: I don't care if this was reused from the manga best moments. Propeller-head Inuyasha rules! Coupled with Kappei's sound effect of "Nyrrrr..." while floating away, it was just awesome. ^_^ Actually, this episode had a lot of characters making strange sound-effects. Except the "Ah!" I don't recall hearing Miroku make the "Ah!" sound when Shippou ate him. I was sad. There was an added scene at the beginning where, in order to trap the kitsune god, Inuyasha ties Shippou to a tree, claiming that the kitsune will come save its baby. Sure enough, the god shows up, but then trys to EAT Shippou. The weird thing about this episode was that, even though it was a Sakuma episode, only about half of it actually looked like his artwork. There were some parts that looked downright Nakanishi-ish. But, Sakuma has a history of inconsistancy, so it's always hard to tell what you're going to get from him. I still think that one of the other directors would have played of the slapstick of this episode better. For the most part, it seemed done "by the book", and while it was animated okay, it wasn't particularly memorable. Next week... I have no idea what's going on. There's at least five chapters worth of stuff depicted in the preview alone, and I wasn't expecting Mouryoumaru to show up in the anime at ALL, but no, there he is, in all his pantsless glory. He's an easy enough character to skip if they want to get to chapter 355 for the ending, but he becomes such a major plot point later, it seems silly to keep him if they're not going to do anything with him. It also looks like they wrote Kouga out of the fight, though.

Episode 165- The Best Clue to Defeat Naraku
Holy pacing change! Unlike the usual canon episode, which tends to contain no more than three chapters worth of material, this one crammed in EIGHT friggin' chapters. And you could tell, too, considering we had, like, three kinda unrelated things all happen within the span of 20 minutes. The episode ran a lot like a recap episode, aside from the fact that it was all new material. They'd dwell on a topic just long enough for us to understand it, then move on to something else. Therefore, the pace of the episode was REALLY rushed, and there was a LOT of stuff cut. Most notably Kouga. That's right, there was no Kouga to be found in this episode, even though this is where he was supposed to return. Because of this, the fight with Mouryoumaru took no more than two minutes, since Kouga was no longer there to get in the way of anything. Notably, the scene where Kohaku reveals to Kagura that he has his memories back was also cut. Best Moment: ... Uh, they skimmed over everything so quickly, it's kinda hard to pick. But it was cool to see Mouryoumaru in action, in all his pantsless glory. I guess he doesn't obtain his "part" until he gets a soul. *cough* The Naraku vs. Kikyou thing didn't look as neat as it does in the opening credits, and I still think that it went by too fast. It was just like *poof* there's Naraku. Yeah, I know that's how it happened originally, but I was expecting a little more "looming" first. Oh well. And next week... is the end! In which they're cramming 11 chapters into two episodes! That's five and a half chapters per episode, which isn't quite as bad as this week, but then again, this week cut out a lot. If they rush the Kagura boobies or the youkai Inu thing, I will be one unhappy puppy.

Episode 166- The Bond Between Two - Use the Shikon Shard! 1
Three streaks of light cut thru the night sky, piercing the silhouette of a gigantic creature. The stricken creature howls in pain and collapses. A group of villagers tells Inuyasha and the others how a demon the size of a mountain died after being hit by a strange light. Only one demon matches that description - the former owner of the Fuyouheki, Gakusanjin! The team rushes to location to investigate and sadly, their suspicions are confirmed. Gakusanjin is dead. Though Naraku is suspected, Inuyasha's sense of smell yields a different clue to the culprits - humans. Who are these people; are they linked to Naraku? Again, strange light slices the sky as panicked villagers beg for deliverance from a horrible demon. The beams blast a hole through the marauding demon - it’s source, a trio of small, masked warriors armed with odd, pot-shaped weapons. Grateful villagers reward the trio with their requested payment -- the carcass of the dead demon and a cart to transport the load. Impressed villagers watch them depart, amazed by their prowess; after all these warriors, the Gyoja, are mere children. The Gyoja return home to a sinister mountain temple ringed by creepy Rakan (Buddhist) statues. Their leader, named Goryomaru, greets them from the shadows, congratulating them on a job well done. Hot on the trail, Inuyasha and company gathers more information about the Gyoja. People are eager to tell them about their odd weapons and where to find them - a holy mountain in the east. As the team ponders a possible connection between the Gyoja and Naraku, a chance encounter with Gyoja scouts leaves little room for doubt. The youngsters open fire on Inuyasha. Realizing their 'prey' travels with humans, the youngsters desist long enough to allow Inuyasha to disarm the children and interrogate them. The rude boys squirm from Inuyasha's grasp and escape, threatening childishly as they run away. After the encounter, the team doubts the scruffy brats have a connection with Naraku. However, just to be sure, they decide to follow the boys to their headquarters. During her solitary search for the Fuyouheki, Kagura discovers Gakusanjin’s corpse. His body confirms her growing suspicions about the baby. Inuyasha and the gang locate the Gyoja temple. The first thing they notice is a nasty blanket of demonic aura wrapped around the place. The second thing they notice is a powerful light blast headed their way. Inuyasha repels the assault with his Wind Scar, and defuses the Gyoja’s powerful weapons. The boys run crying to their leader, Goryomaru, who angrily confronts the team, demanding a reason for the assault. Goryomaru’s appearance is shocking, although he appears to be human; his right arm is a demonic configuration from another world. While Kagura snoops, Naraku and Hakudoshi conspire against her. Suddenly, Kagura encounters a horde of demons swarming towards an unknown destination. Kagura decides to follow them. The demons flock to the Gyoja temple, but hesitate to attack. They linger on the perimeter taking no action. Goryomaru orders the boys to arm themselves, but the Gyoja pots are empty. Goryomaru still has energy left in his demon arm and releases a lethal beam of light, cutting down the fist wave of demons. Inuyasha’s team springs into action, destroying the remaining threat. Inuyasha and the gang mistake Goryomaru for a demon, offending him, and he explains how his appearance came to be. During a battle with a demon, the creature attempted to possess and devour him. Using his Buddhist powers, Goryomaru killed the demon, replacing his lost arm with a demon’s. After questions, Miroku is convinced of Goryomaru’s innocence. The Gyoja killed Gakusanjin as part of their regular slayer duty, case closed. However, Inuyasha is suspicious of Goryomaru’s story. The team is grudgingly invited to stay at the temple for their safety and they join the boys for food while Goryomaru refills the Gyoja pots from his demonic arm. Kagura observes the sinister temple, deducing it’s the perfect place to hide Naraku’s heart. Using her wind blades to slaughter the lurking demons, she forms them into an army of the dead and orders them to attack the temple. The commotion alarms the Gyoja and the gang. And the defenseless boys scramble to reclaim their weapons and discover Goryomaru lying exhausted on the floor, having refilled the precious pots. Inuyasha, Miroku, Sango and Kagome engage the enemy again, joined by the Gyoja. Spotting Kagura, Inuyasha chases and catches her, demanding to know why she attacked the temple. Kagura’s response is enigmatic. Meanwhile, Kagome spots the injured Goryomaru just as Kagura and her minions resume their attack. Turning her back to check on the fight, Kagome suddenly finds herself locked in Goryomaru’s embrace. It isn’t Kagome he’s interested in, it’s the strength of her Shikon fragment Kagura watches the demon crystal clear just as a huge blast of light from Goryomaru’s demonic arm rams a huge hole in her chest. Kagura’s spell breaks, along with her body and she flys off. Inuyasha returns to witness Kagome trapped in Goryomaru’s clutches. Now Kagome is uncertain about Goryomaru’s true nature and unsure if he meant to protect her from the demons, or if he had a darker motivation in mind. … Elsewhere, Sesshomaru's travels are interrupted by an odd event: Kagura falling out of the sky and into a nearby river. Rin attempts a rescue but is caught in the current. Jaken attempts to rescue Rin and is likewise trapped. A quick cut later reveals the trio high and dry on the riverbank. Rin inspects the gaping would in Kagura's torso and Jaken comments she's a goner. Suddenly, Kagura’s wound closes and she regains consciousness. While Kagura recovers, Naraku and Hakudoshi continue to conspire. They're both aware Kagura is a traitor but Naraku isn't finished exploiting her - yet.

Inuyasha smashes the fragment container against Tetsusaiga and the sword begins to ring, pulsating with uncontrollable power as it absorbs the miasma from the Oni's innards. Once the shard left Kagome's hands, it became vulnerable to corruption, now the polluted jewel dangerously affects Tetsusaiga and it's owner. Naraku watches, entertained by Inuyasha's struggle to control the afflicted Tetsusaiga as it overwhelms his human blood. Unable to endure Inuyasha's anguish, Kagome risks her life, rushing thru the tide of acid to embrace him. Kagome's touch purifies the corrupted fragment and rescues Inuyasha from the brink of madness. His composure regained, Inuyasha asks Kagome to support him a bit longer. So with acid lapping at her ankles, Kagome clings to Inuyasha with all her might. From deep inside himself, Inuyasha summons the strength for one last Kongousouha. Sesshomaru's search continues. Later, in Kaede's village, Kagome and Miroku recover. Sango nurses Miroku and Kaede treats Kagome's acid burns. Kagome wonders where Inuyasha disappeared to, and Kaede says he's off brooding and Myoga and Shippo offer up a wise cracks at Inuyasha's expense. Inuyasha arrives back in the hut just in time to bonk both of them. Even so, Inuyasha is uncharacteristically reserved and troubled. He asks Kagome to come with him - alone - to talk. Kagome finds herself perched next to Inuyasha on the limb of his favorite tree. Inuyasha confesses he feels guilty and inadequate over the incident inside the Oni, convinced he's responsible for Kagome's injuries. His apology yields a surprising result: Kagome tells him she's very happy. Kagome reminds Inuyasha he saved them all and that she was never happier than at that moment of crisis inside the Oni. At that time, Kagome was glad to be by his side. With a shy little smile, she scoots close to Inuyasha and rests her head against his shoulder. Scooting into Kagome with smile, Inuyasha admits he feels the same way about her, too. Epilogue - "My Will" The producer's added new montage of closing credits for the special so we can 'check in' all the major characters. The sequence opens on starlit sky and pans down to a close up of Sesshomaru, then to a wide shot including Rin, Jaken and Au-Un the dragon. Scene shifts to Naraku and his evil spawn, including a cut away shot to a very annoyed Kagura. Kohaku practices his skills the scythe and chain as Kanna, the baby and Moryomaru walk into the mist. Koga races ahead of Hakkaku and Ginta against a full moon; Totosai works on a new ring for his cow's nose while Miroku's mentor Mushin supervises Hachiemon's housework at his temple. Sota escort his girl, Hitomi on a date at the amusement park sports his Detective Conan outfit. Mrs. Higurashi buys Kagome new shoes at a local shop as Eri, Yuka and Ayumi chase the hapless Hojo though neighborhood streets -- maybe someday, they'll catch him! Finally, Kagome waves goodbye to her Mom, embarking on a new trip to Sengoku-Jidai. Waiting for her at the well house door with a smile is Inuyasha and they leap into the past where Sango, Miroku, Shippo and Kirara greet them happily. The team begins a new quest for Naraku and the Shikon no Tama. Although Inuyasha knows their path holds many unknown dangers, he vows they'll defeat Naraku.
