The Spell by The Grim Reaper & Dracula

Once there was a witch who lived in a cave. She made lots of spells.She put all the spell into the potion.
She made one to kill lots of stupid people. She was very glad that her spell worked because if it didn’t she would get very very very cross.
She made a spell to kill every one on the planet. She made the spell and it began to work.
But she killed herself as well.

Witch by Bart

The haunted house is up on a hill. It has a ghost and bats. It is scary.
The witch lives in a cave and she makes potions. But be careful. She might put a spell on you!
I went up to her in my costume and my mask. She put a spell on me and now I am a rat.
A monster ate my Daddy!

Happy Halloween by Homer

A person wears a mask.
Ghosts are seen on Halloween.
Pumpkins give you a scare.
Witches give you a scare on Halloween.
We suddenly go away on Halloween.

It was Halloween.
The bats, witches, goblins, mummies, monsters and zombies were out.
The witches were scaring everybody.The ghosts were haunting the people with masks.
The witches were putting spells and using potions on everybody with their carving sticks.
All the pumpkins did was laugh.

Zombie eats bats.
He lights pumpkins every year.
Mummy comes to visit him every month.

Monster is very scary.
James the goblin lives in the first room in the haunted house.
Ghosts come when vampire says blood killer.
He wears a costume when he comes to carve the trees for the blood fire.When he goes to parties he wears a mask
The warlock has a special bat.

Zing’s Memoires - Rang 6>

I was born on the fifteenth of February 19XX. I will always remember the time I went to Knock these two old people were on the train with us . Me my mother and my father were there .They gave me little red elephant with a pin on it. The years that followed I got interested in fishing ,I am very sorry that I didn’t start earlier!

My Autobiography by Spud – Rang 6

My name is Larry Quinlan. I was born in 1937. I played for my local Gaelic Football team and soccer team for both I won lots of medals. My lifelong ambition was to be a professional soccer player. In those days there was no cars, cars were only for the rich people. Only the odd house had a television. I was 8 years old when the war ended. I was relieved when it was all over. I thought Germany could have attacked Ireland. There was no running water back then; you got water from a well. I remember the big fireplace that we cooked the food on. You couldn't just go to the shop; I had to milk the cow called Daisy. We had 12 chickens for eggs, as we have today. When my friend Tomas had fever. I had to walk a grueling walk of 9 miles to his house because the cart was broken down. Unfortunately he died. Life back then was really tough as I often found out.

My Autobiography by Rapter – Rang 5

My name is Doush .I live in Stradbally and I remember some exciting time's in my life .On one occasion I was canoeing by the great barriar reef and I was getting to close to the strong currant that would have washed me out to sea but luckly enough someone saw I was in trouble and called the coast guard. I owe my life to that person .On another occasion I went looking for shark's in the Caribbean. After a while nothing happened I called for the other people on the ship to bring me up then there was a big THUD.I fell backwards and cut my hand. I soon found out that the machine had stuck and I would have to wait then I look around and I was surrounded by a school of great white sharks they were all biting at the blood outside the cage. I was lucky I was in the cage if I had not I would not be here right now. On another occasion Ninja and I decided a hyper rocket. After a few years we got the sixty mega engines and the rest of the equipment. On the fist of January two-thousand and two we launched our rocket stradbally revenge after a week with our mega engines on full we reached MARS we were the first people on MARS. Most recently I went to Egypt on an archologicle dig when I found a new pyramid. I went exploring and in the main chamber I found some scrolls and the pharoh was Imotal. Suddenly the pyramid started to cavern I made a brake for the door when a piece of rubble hit me hard in the side I escaped with only two broken ribs.

MY NAME IS "SPIKE THE SECOND".I WAS BORN IN WATERFORD REGIONAL HOSPITAL ON THE 31 OF DECEMBER 1985.I GREW UP WITH MY PARENTS FROM ABBEYSIDE.I PLAYED HURLING AND FOOTBALL FOR THE TOWN AND PLAYED FOR THE DÉISE COUNTY WATERFORD.I WON 5 ALL-IRELAND MEDALS.THE COUNTY WON THE SAM MCGUIRE 3 TIMES AND THE HURLING CUP 5 TIMES. I AM NOW 48.MY CHILDHOOD DREAM HAS COME THROUGH.I AM NOW MANAGER OF CO.WATERFORD.AT THE MOMENT WE'RE IN THE SEMI-FINAL OF HURLING AND CAME SECOND IN THE FOOTBALL.MY LIFE COULD'NT GET ANY BETTER

My father's Biography by Zap

When I was 12 years old I started work. I worked for Mmm m down the road He gave me milk and spuds every week and in autumn he gave us apples. When work ended I raced Michael, Jimmy & Mary to the big rock in the middle of the road. The rock has been tarred over because the shocks on the car went if it drove over it. On Saturdays & Sundays we ran down to the shop to buy some sweets then we went to Mm to see Batman (he had the only telly in xxxx) He had a car seat for an arm chair when it was over we ran back to the house. When I was seventeen I started work in the glass factory (Waterford Crystal) it was two years open . I worked there for 43 years

My name is Flubber. I lived in Stradbally all my life. I played in goal since I was ten years old .I started walking greyhounds for my uncle in 1950. Stradbally are after wining eleven county titles. I have a sister and two brothers. My father is from Aaaaaaaa in Tipperary.My mother is from Kkkkkkkkk in Waterford.I have many good memories in Scoil na Croise Naofa. After all my year in school I became a vet. I have some brilliant memories of winning the Irish greyhound Derby in Shelbourne Park ,

In this story there are many characters. These are the main ones. There is X-Ray,the oldest and the toughest. There is Caveman, a big young boy that the story follows. Mr. Pendanski who is called Mom. He comforts the boys. The General. Well you wouldn’t want to meet her in a dark alley anyway. And Mr. Sir. He is spoiled and the people he “don’t like - he don’t like”

Camp Greenlake where young junveniles are sent when they commit a crime. They are told to dig a five foot each way hole to “build character”

During this story there are a lot of “going on.”The one that stood out for me was the finding of the cylinder.It had the initials of Kate Barlow or ‘Hit and Run Kate Barlow.’

The overall story was good and I would highly recommend this book.

Zap

Holes

The main character in Holes is Stanley. This story is told through Stanley’s eyes and his problems.He has very bad luck and he slowly becomes friends with all the boys.He even went after the one who ran into the desert.
Mr. Sir is a very cold-hearted man who gave up smoking and is eating sunflower seeds all the time.
Mr Pendanski is a kind man who believes he is redeemed once he and the boys do their time in Camp Green Lake. He also does not like nick –names.
X-Ray is a small black boy who is the leader of the gang. He is always the first inline for the water truck and everyone listens to him.
Zero looks and sounds stupid but he is actually a very clever boy and he doesn’t like answering questions.
The warden is the woman who owns Camp Green Lake. She is a very strange woman and has cameras and microphones everywhere.

Rapter

Stanley Yelnets is always at the wrong place at the wrong time and one day he is arrested and is sent to Camp Green Lake.
At the start he finds it hard to get used to digging the holes but one day he finds the lipstick tube of Kate Barlow an outlaw who used to live there. Then Stanley starts to teach another boy , Zero how to read and write. A fight starts over it and then Zero runs away.Stanley steals the water truck but he drives it into a hole so he continues on foot.

Other characters in the novel are ; Zero, X-Ray, Zig-Zag, Squid, Magnet and Armpit. Warden, Mr. Sir , Mr. Pendanski are adult characters.

The most interesting parts for me were;Finding out about Stanley’s great great grandfather and Kissing Kate Barlow, the robber who lived here long ago.The history of the lake and the town and also the warden’s plans to find Kissing Kate’s biried treasure.

Gizzmo

The characters in Holes are Stanley whose nickname is Caveman, then Zig Zag, X-Ray, Mr. Sir and Mom.The story is about Camp Green Lake. It is a place for prople who do something wrong.
Stanley did nothing.
He got caught with a famous person’s shoes and he said they flew down from the air.
They didn’t believe him
He had a choice - to go to jail or………Camp Green Lake.

Stanley shouldn’t have gone to Camp Green Lake because he was wrongly accused.

An interesting part of the book was when Stanley jumped in the water van and he went looking for Zero but he drove into a hole, got out and legged it.

I thought this was a brilliant book because of the way it was written. I haven’t finished it yet……….

I read a book called Holes. There were a lot of characters in it. The writer told us about the people in the book very well. There were a lot of nick names in the story like Zero, Twitch and Caveman.

The plot was very good. It told us every detail. The story was about a boy on prison camp. The warden was looking for a suitcase. SO how can the prisoners dig out an empty lake and find money?

The story has many values like yellow spotted lizards. Lizards, a dried up lake, a sneaky warden, guards with guns and a lot lot more.

The person who wrote this book ( author) dis not give any boy a value, just a nick name.There were a lot of interesting parts like when the boy runs off with a water truck and an old boat in the middle of the dried up lake. Also how the warden painted her nails with a mixture of rattlesnake venom and all sorts.

I had a lot of comments about this book. How one minute you would be engrossed in the story and the next you would nearly want to throw it away because the part you were reading would change quickly. Read it and see what you think!

Spud
Holes is a novel written by Louis Sachar about a boy called Stanley who is sent to C. Thamp Green Lake. There he has to dig holes.

There are other children in the camp. They all have nicknames. Stanley’s name is Caveman and the others have nicknames such as Zero, Armpit and Twitch. Digging holes doesn’t build character The boys dig holes everyday. One day Zero had a row and ran away. He didn’t even have water in the sweltering heat of the desert. Stanley had seen something like a thumb. He great great grand dad had told his ancestors that he had found refuge there.

Stanley tried to drive away in the water truck but he drove into a hole. So he ran . He found Zero with a little difficulty. He got to God’s Thumb where they ate onions and drank water. Eventually they……… well read it for yourself, I don’t want to spoil the ending .
