2005/2006 NATIONAL SCHOOL CHESS CHAMPS REGULATIONS

INVITATION TO SCHOOLS

To: The Principals/Heads of All Secondary Schools

Dear Sirs/Madams,
The Jamaica Chess Federation (JCF) invites entries for the 2005/2006 National Schools Chess Championships, to be sponsored by LASCO and RBTT Bank. This competition, which has been contested since 1975, is open to all secondary level schools in Jamaica.

In order to enter, the JCF must receive the following from each school:- (1) Your completed entry form (see attached), (2) entry fee for each team and (3) any monies owing to the JCF. Please note the entry fee for each team that has at least one male member is J$2,000. The entry fee for each all-female ‘A’ Team is J$2,000, while the entry fee for each all-female team that is not an ‘A’ team is J$1,000. ‘A’ team refers to the highest ranked team from a school with more than one team entered in the championship.
The tournament is schedule to begin on October 13, 2005 at 3 p.m. at Kingston College with play in Zone 1, (Kingston Zone) and on October 14, 2005 at Campion College with play in Zone 2, (St. Andrew Zone). The schedule, including start dates for the other Zones will be determined when all the entries have been received or indicated. Schools who would like more detailed info can contact either of the contacts indicated below.

The closing date for submission or indication of entries is Monday, October 3, 2005. Cheques should be made payable to the Jamaica Chess Federation and all entry forms and fees will be collected by the JCF representatives identified below. Schools should contact either of the representatives below when their entries are ready to be collected or to indicate entry.
