DECEMBER

The month of December has proven to have taken it time on me, being always in rush for time as it's slipping away more then I expected. With this month I have great news to announce that Callum has received his Champion Title AND is almost at his Grand Champion title. Well done to Anne Davis for putting in the hard yards to get him to shows AND he's certainly the pride of Vantana.. (but all our babies are here).

In the new year I will make my way down to get some new photos of Callum and post them for all to enjoy, however Anne Davis has been more then kind to allow me to use the photos she's has taken! Please enjoy his pages and the remaining.

On another note we have been busy with puppy season also and have 5 beautiful babies in here. If you would like to have a view of them please visit Vantana Shepherds

In conclusion wishing you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY & SAFE NEW YEAR!!

MAY

This month has had it's ups and downs sadly more downs and one being that I will be retiring from breeding. This has been the toughest decision I've ever had to make as I've put my heart, soul, passion, love and dedication into breeding but unfortunately fate has other means for me!

At this stage it is being decided if I will have one more litter with Bonbon or shut shop? to know more please check my kitten page.

On a lighter note I'm honored and over the moon to say that another one of my precious babies has found its way into a dear friends heart and home and is joining my very first birman to be his companion and family. Thank you Louise for giving Mark a loving and warm home and I know how spoilt sash is by you.. oh dear both will really be spoilt rotten.

I'm also proud to say that Fabio has found a wonderful home on the other side of the world to join is Birman family in Canada. Thank you Lyne of Bienvenue Birmans for giving my baby boy a loving home and I'm confident he'll give you beautiful progeny.

Thank you Anne Davis for sharing these photos with me of my little boy Callum. Nothing more prideful then receiving photos of my babies and seeing them in great condition and care. Please enjoy the recent photos of Callum who is now 4 mths old WOW do they grow quick

Some gorgeous photos of 'Vantana Fabio' Fatty and Anefald MaxxsLuvnpride "Damian" being their usual selves!

APRIL

Well this month has certainly given me many different challenges and events have taken place that have left me helpless and in shock and in total adoration.

Firstly in Honor of my little Coomy I  have to add her part to my site as she deserves nothing less! Coomy I love you and deeply miss you. Fabio misses cuddling your feet and I miss you keeping me warm these cold winter nights... Please visit my Memory page to honor my princess!

the other bit of news ... not so depressing is that for the past month I have been missing pens , pencils and all sorts of nuts and bolts... think I was going crazy at one stage knowing I had put them in a particular spot on the table in my dining, well to my dismay I say my kitty Dolly Lolly in my pot plant and I went to see what she was doing... thinking maybe she was breaking the kitty litter rules and to my surprise dolly was digging up my pen, as I uncovered soil I found over 30 pens and pencils and all my nuts and bolts I my pot plant.. and who says you can't love Birmans. Just gorgeous!

I'm over the moon to say that Bonbon is showing all signs that she's pregnant and doing beautifully. She's looking wonderful and proud. Even though I'm nervous (like all the other times she has given birth) I am also excited with what she might leave me.

I am also lucky that Fabio is 15 weeks old and he's looking smashing, a little fatty fab as I call him he's going to grow into a big boy one of these days. I am so in love with him it's going to be very hard letting him go..... YES says Dolly watching me write this I agree she says. Dolly and Fabulouso have become really good friends.. oh well Dolly Lolly you will have some new babies to play with soon, and hopefully babies of your own by the end of the year.

After every good time a sad one has to come along, though it's not entirely sad and depressing it was a tough time for me to say good bye to my little babies this time round! I know that they have found wonderful homes and as the saying goes there will be more little wind up toys running around the place soon.

I was greeted with a wonderful email today of one of my baby buyers and her gorgeous daughter and Belle. Thank you all for taking my babies and I know they will make you proud like they have done me. Thank your taking the time to send me confirmations of their well being and for photos do keep the photos coming!

Please enjoy Charlotte and Little Vantana Belle

It's been a long few months this year with so much going on. With my mothers health getting worse and being diagnosed with a Tumor I have spent little time with my passion in photography and updating my website as much as i would like to.

Another sad moment but also a joyous one is that all the kittens are now leaving Vantana and finding their way to their new homes!

I am over the moon that two of my boys have found to be suitable enough for breeding stock and Fabio is destined to live overseas. More info will be added soon.

I thought I was going to get a short break but looks like Bonbon has decided that she's going to call and now I'm just going to sit tight and wait to see if she's pregnant. If it's a positive outcome it will be announced on my kittens page... do check back soon as this mating excites me greatly!

FEBRUARY

I must say that this litter has proven my inexperience eye in determining colours that are close together, such as seals and chocolates. Bonbon has surprised me once again by given me 2 Seal Boys, 2 Chocolate boys and 1 blue girl! WOW Bonbon you're a wonder Cat and I adore you! Thank you baby you're my darling girl!

I'm also proud to announce that my little Boy Vantana Callum will be when he's old enough spending his stud days at the wonderful home of Shakandah Birmans. Thank you my dear dear friend for considering this beautiful boy to be suitable enough to be a member of your cat family.

To see more photos of babies view my Nursery page & Past litters page.

Little Charlotte with " HER " Belle

I also must say a SPECIAL THANK YOU to my dear neighbour Belinda for allowing her beautiful daughter Amie to come over and play with the kittens. This is highly appreciated from us here at Vantana

JANUARY 2006

I'm happy to announce that we have yet ANOTHER little baby that has joined our family. Damien my Long coat Sable German Shepherd has finally arrived home, after many years of waiting for the right male! He's a perfect Gentleman and absolutely adorable.

His site is being worked on however he's already getting used to the cats and them to him and all will be friends in no time!!!

My LONG awaited dream! My little Shakandah Babydoll aka Dolly has finally reached my home last night and already has made her mark! My night has been full with this active little treasure! Thank you Anne for giving me my Million Dollar Ticket. I have waited ages for a girl from you and not to mention a Tabby and in Dolly I have got double package! Actually TRIPLE she's already stolen the heart of all that have visited and it's not even 24 hours since her arrival! Dolly is definitely hear to STAY!!! Do check my cats page to watch Dolly grown into a gorgeous girl she is, (just like her mother)!

Bonbon's kittens are doing really well and bring smiles to my face as I watch them grow! Colours seem to be 3 seals and 2 blues (possibly). Babies are gaining weight beautifully and I'm looking forward to the day they are all running around my house.

WOW what a way to start the New Year for us here at Vantana. Bonbon decided to show her mothering skills once again, by bringing her beautiful babies into this world in the early hours of Tuesday morning (3rd of January 2006).

  • Baby 1 was born 2:15am weighing 90grams (girl)

  • Baby 2 was born @ 3:25 am weighing 102 grams (boy)

Followed closely by:

  • Baby 3 was born @ 3:35am weighing 92grams (boy)

Looking at Bonbon I knew there was going to be one more but poor mum being very tired and not wanting water or anything I left her to bond with her precious 3, I could feel that there might be another to follow and soon enough I was proven right

  • Baby 4 was born @ 7:15am weighing 85 grams (boy).

After a LONG 5 hours we were all worn out from the excitement, I left mother to bond with the babies, however to my surprise when I went to check on my bundle of joy (around lunch time), she had thrown me the BIGGEST surprise yet!! Counting the babies I saw 5, YES 5, but this wasn’t possible I witnessed only 4, well mummy Bonnie has done me PROUD!! Not only producing me 5 gorgeous babies BUT delivering, cleaning and performing all the other mid wife bits all by her lovely self. You make me proud my darling girl! You seriously do!!!

  • Baby 5 (not sure of time) weighs 81 grams (boy)

My greatest test this time is to keep them alive, I have to admit that my mid wife skills were absolutely fine and mum and I worked together to make her birthing easier, however the reminded of Angelina does swell my mind occasionally. Keeping positive and checking on my little babies I have to say this has been a remarkable experience!! Bonbon has surprised me totally! She wasn’t very big this time round but definitely had more in there!

With all the festive season over and this year has began with such a bang! I've got my little Shakandah baby, Dolly arriving and little Damien coming to join us, my whole house will be filled with babies and joy! Heck we're still celebrating Christmas here he he.. or should it be ho ho!

Do check our site for more changes and updates as we are starting this year with a busy schedule! (especially with photos there will be heaps to take).
