A real swashbuckler of a cat with a lot of energy, drive, and daring. Aries cats love being where the action is and will not back away from a fight. They have the blood of a hero in their veins and their fiery nature will make them blast off like a space ship when they are riled.

When they want something and you are not complying they will meow loud and long until you get your act together and serve up that tasty treat. If it is not the right food, they will walk away with their nose in the air as if to say - this is not for me and you'd better get the right food out here soon or else you'll hear such a hue and cry that you'll need cotton for your ears.

They will only do what they want, when they want and how they want. It is important that you understand this from the beginning so that you and your kitten can live in harmony for many years.

Never even consider trying to put a leash on this cat. It will take them a long time to get over such an indignity.

They are extremely intuitive and seem to know when it is time to go to the vet - finding them can be like the proverbial needle in the haystack, so plan ahead very carefully how to accomplish this trip.

Will usually have a special toy that no one should touch. They are not fussy about their food. As long as they get lots of attention and love, food is not important.

Even though they are very undisciplined, they are charming, funny and kittenish. Their curiosity and antics will keep you entertained throughout your lives together. They are just a baby that will never grow up, just like Peter Pan, so relax and enjoy.

Taurus  
April 21- May 21

Routine-minded, home-loving, stubborn, predictable, calm

A cat who loves the good things in life--a soft cushion, a special place of its own, and gourmet dinners. Laid-back, adagio, and very sensual, Taurus cats choose food, stroking, and massage. So much "good stuff," however, could lead to, well, pudge. Taurus cats are possessive of the things they love, and they can be stubborn. Once habits are acquired, they're hard to break, so train these cats early. 

The Taurean puss is always purring and is happiest when asleep on its favorite bed.  Taureans love food and, not surprisingly, tend to be rather plump.  Placid and easy going, they react fiercely if angered. 

They are steady, practical and dependable, however, they can be persistent and stubborn. The kittens seem to be born mature and well behaved - making them less frisky and far more sensible than other kittens. Their nature is very stable, as long as everything is going their way - let something occur to upset them and the snit they will throw will make you think World War III just started. Their flashing eyes and lashing tail will be enough to make you go for cover. Their temper is quick to rise and just as quick to end.

Do not teach them a habit you do not want them to keep, for once they learn they will not change easily. They are loving, affectionate and amiable, but not very demonstrative. Always remember to not push too hard or too often to do something they do not want to do - gently coax them.

Do not like to be yelled at, will ignore you or stare with a look that says - are you really acting so silly or what? They will make it seem it is your fault that you yelled at them. You never should have expected them to do what you wanted anyway. If you yell at them you make them more stubborn.

Loves comfort and coziness, loves sleeping in his own basket, snuggling in a silky coverlet, will actually get under the blankets when it is cold. Will not roam far from home. They are very much the homebody and do not like to travel. They prefer to sit on the porch and watch other animals and birds entertain them. Never seem tempted to join in - just will enjoy the show. Loves luxury too much to romp and play.

They love all food - don't care what it is as long as they stay full and comfy. You must control their diet. Make sure they get regular exercise - as they are content to just relax and occasionally play with a toy. They need quiet steady love and will sulk if they do not receive enough attention.

If they are forced to live with noise and confusion, they will be very nervous and irritable - will run and hide. They will forgive you with just a few soothing words and a nice bowl of tuna treat.

If you are feeling ill, they will seem to know immediately and will be your very loving and caring nurse. They do not like being left alone for long periods and will look so woebegone you will hate to leave them, but remember it is not just you they will miss - it is the routine and services you perform that they will miss the most. When you return, they will forgive you immediately.

Gemini 
May22- June 21

Spirited, mischievous, fun-loving, attention-getting, clever

A curious and playful cat who doesn't want to miss a trick. Gemini cats are alert, clever, quick-witted, and interesting in everything. Variety is the spice of their lives; they choose a little of this and a little of that--but not too much of one thing. They are great communicators and usually enjoy "talking" (or talking back) to whoever is around. Concentration is not their strong point. 

You will have your hands full with this kitten. They are a whirling dervish that will keep you on your toes.
Their dual personality makes it hard for them to be sure what they want to do and when they want to do it. They are very impatient and look for action - if nothing is happening they will just dash around the house like little tornadoes.

Their minds and bodies are agile and lively. They will go in three directions at once, with this kitten around don't ever be surprised when they will appear. In fact they will go from the curtains to your plate like the flying Walendas.

They do not like routines or confinement. They must live unrestricted and carefree lives, if you try to change them you will destroy their bubbling personality. Try to learn their ways and you will enjoy a life of fun and games with this sparkling little imp. Keep a basket for lots of toys - they will snoop through it till they find the one they want and play with if for awhile and go back for another. Eventually all the toys will be everywhere - in the house and yard.

They are not big eaters. Make sure they get plenty of rest - they have a tendency to keep going. They do not tend to wander from home or prowl at night. Do not show a bad temper or tend to fight.

Their love and affection for you will be quick but touching - they will stop in mid play to run to you and give you a rub or little kiss, then off again to the challenges of the world. They are very emotional with language of purrs and meows. They are the most talkative of the cats. They will seem to enjoy carrying on a conversation with you.

They are very prissy about their appearance and groom themselves continuously. They are also very fussy about the things around them being clean. Their litter box must always be fresh and clean - their bed and bedding soft and clean. In fact, they prefer the whole house to be tidy.

Sudden loud noises will startle them sending them into a frenzy of dashing about looking for what happened to disturb them. Because of their impulsiveness they will accidentally end up with cuts and bruises - so keep a sharp eye on them. The term that best suits this kitten is pixilated - you will never get bored.

Cancer

The homebody of the cat world. Cats born under the sign of Cancer love the security of a warm hearth (or a warm bed). They are sensitive and can be somewhat shy and moody, but they will purr with pleasure at a little TLC. Queens make good mothers, and toms like to be mothered. They love the night hours, and, in their own quiet way, they are very tenacious about getting what they want. 

Ideal for someone who spends a lot of time at home, the Cancer cat will be constantly at your side, climbing on to your lap at every opportunity. But tread carefully:  Cancer cats are easily offended.  Capricorn owners suit the Cancer cat's desire for stability;  Taurean owners give Cancer cats security.

The kitten born under this sign is subject to the moons pull just like the tides. Your cat's personality will undergo changes that might confuse you if you do not understand the moons effect on them.

They will be moody and somber, they playful and funny. Will play with a toy by themselves for hours. They love to play 'catch me'. Watch how they move is quick and clever ways, never impulsively. They will move sideways and backwards, then pounce. Do not try to take a favorite toy away as they will hang on for dear life.

Don't be misled into thinking your kitten is easy to control since they are gentle and docile. They can be very determined, getting their way in a quiet insistent way, so you never even know you have been manipulated and out-smarted. Your cat will be pliable and adaptable, however, they will still be in command when they want to be.
They love attention and praise, but are very shy and timid. A harsh tone or rough glance and they are easily wounded. When their feelings are hurt they will disappear and hide. It will take a lot of coaxing and petting to get him to join the family again. They will let you know when you are neglecting them with soft meows and loving eyes that ask, "remember me?". They are so patient that even though hungry, will sit silently in front of an empty dish waiting for dinner.

They love to be noticed so they will try to make you laugh with their antics when playing. It is very important that you lavish your kitten with love and affection if they are to be physically and emotionally healthy. Cancer kittens that are neglected or abused become suspicious and distrusting.

They are warm and sensitive to their owner, almost like a parent in their caring natures. When you are not feeling well you will find them very sympathetic and they will purr soft condolences in your ear.

They will love to sit in the windows on moonlit nights, you will think they are enchanted by the way they just sit and daydream. Most important, your cat will be loyal and devoted if you are kind and loving. Pamper their loving and gentle hearts and you will always have fun with their playful ways.

Their vanity, however, will not tolerate belittling, and if you ever make fun of them, they might just go off to seek an appreciative audience elsewhere. But given their royal "due," they will be the happiest and most loving of cats--and lord it over you with the greatest aplomb.

Your Leo the lion is royalty from the day they are born. They begin surveying their empire as soon as they open their eyes. They are proud with a sunny playfulness. They seem to rule the family. They will seem to actually throw temper tantrums, however, this will be very brief and soon they will be looking to you for attention and approval. They will expect you to know when they are hungry and serve their food to them wherever they are holding court. Serve their food on the best china and be sure their bedding is of the finest and softest materials you can find. They prefer food served in a fancy dish or on people plates.

They love to be the center of attention. They will not run and hide when you have company, but will become the star to your admiring friends. If you cat is ignored or unloved they can become moody and snarl and hiss because you are tampering with their self-confidence. Royalty must be pampered and cuddled to be happy and satisfied. Pick them up several times a day and tell them they are the most beautiful and lovable pet in the world.

Very seldom will you see them run, that is not in tune with their stately and proper natures. Likes bright airy places - will enjoy sitting on a perch, like a king, watching the world go by. Will love it if someone passing by remarks how beautiful they are.

Virgo 
August 24-September 23

A very intelligent and discriminating aristocrat. Virgo cats demand only the best and look down upon anything or anyone who is less than perfect. No dirty litter boxes or day-old food for these connoisseurs--they keep themselves neat and clean and expect their environments to be kept the same way. Virgos have a sense of what seems "right" and can become nervous if things are not "just so." If you win the approval of this cat, you've been bestowed the greatest of compliments.   

"Take no risks" is this cat's motto. Intelligent thinkers, Virgoan cats don't mind if their owner is out all day and love a change of scene or a trip in the cat basket.  Scorpio owners complement the Virgoan cat's inquisitive nature; Gemini owners have an independence Virgoan cats respect and encourage.

Your Virgo cat will always be innocent and naive. They are very trusting and obedient. However, don't be misled into thinking they are easily taken advantage of or coerced into doing something they don't wish to do.

Without you even realizing it they will have you trained into their way. They are so solemn and sedate they appear guileless. This is only a cover for a very determined nature.

They are the vainest of the cats. They will wash and preen for hours, then look for a mirror to be sure they are perfect. They will avoid mud and dirt at all costs, will walk a mile to avoid such messes. They want everything extra clean and neat. They are very finicky - all bedding and dishes must be kept clean and spotless or they will turn up their noses in disdain.

They are a stickler for routine and order. They prefer their food in a set routine. They will set the time clock and you will be expected to abide by their schedule. Once you place their food dishes and bed in a certain place - do not move it. Will be very upset if the dish or bed is moved one inch from its regular spot. If a meal is late, they will sit and stare, making pitiful meows until you get your act together, and do your duty. Once you find what they like to eat do not change.

They are very smart and learn what you desire with very little effort. They get their way with persistence and determination, more than with intellect. Even though they appear calm and cool, they still need your love and assurance to be happy and contented. Be sure you give them lots of love and petting each day - since they are so quiet it is easy to forget they are around and they will not demand attention - which they need to be happy. However, if they don't get enough attention, they will give you a wistful look that says "Did you forget me?".

They are not social cats and will slink into the background when strangers are around. They have a restlessness in their natures. Can't seem to stay in one place for very long. They'll be in a chair - then at the front door - then at the window - actually they seem to pace.

Libra 
September 24-October 23

happy, vocal, sociable, indecisive, well-behaved

Unhappy alone, a good friend to all. Cats born in Libra need interaction with others--felines, humans, or even Fido. Usually very beautiful, they have a refined nature and a love of peace and harmony. Too much discord and loud noise can mean nervousness and misery for them. Libra cats often have trouble making up their minds, like whether or not to go out while you stand there with the door open. But they are so charming and attractive that most humans are happy to be a part of their lives. 

You can't pamper this sensuous feline too much.  Librans crave attention, are quick to take offense and don't take kindly to being unceremoniously shooed off a comfy chair.  Arian owners are good foils for tranquil Libran cats; Capricorn owners make the Libran cat feel snug and secure.

Under the influence of Venus with the scales of perfect justice as the symbol of their sun sign, your cat is not only emotional but changeable in their moods. Their personality traits are a mixture that makes for a complex package that is hard to keep in balance. Libra kittens come in all colors, sizes and breeds, but they all have a winsomeness and charisma. You will want to hug them, however, when the scales tip, you might feel like choking them when they are being contrary.

They are very inconsistent - one minute restless and active - the next calm and lazy. Will obey like an angel - then become stubborn as a mule. Sometimes you will feel at a complete loss on how to cope with them.

The two sides to their personalities are so distinct that you will wonder if they are quite all there. When they play and cavort they become so enthusiastic that they will keep it up until they are completely exhausted and collapse. Sometimes you will think they have become a statute in the window, doing absolutely nothing. Usually when they are still like this, they are trying to make a decision. Should I take a nape or chase a butterfly? Decisions are very difficult for them, you will find it better not to offer more than one food at a time or more than one toy at a time, as they will become confused.

They like freedom so need plenty of room inside and a way to play outside. They need a stable and serene environment. Everything should be in its proper place, such as water dish, bedding and food dish. This will help keep their scales balanced. They do not like loud noises, harsh voices or blaring music. If you plan a party, find them a place to be away from the crowd and noise, they will really be much happier and content.

It is very important that you understand allowing them to make any decisions in their own time. You will upset their equilibrium if you try to force them to do something when they are not ready. It is hard enough for them to cope with their tilting scales without your nudging. They seem to have trouble deciding which toy to play with or which food to eat, it can be amusing to watch as they seem to study the problem. Although they are very indecisive, once they make up their minds about something, there is no stopping them.

They are very loving and sensitive to your moods. If you are sick or upset you can see them asking in their eyes, "what can I do to help?". Always remember keep everything calm and stable and they will respond with a balance nature, you are their anchor.

Scorpio

The animal of sensuous magnetism. The Scorpio cat is intense, passionate, and mysterious. Scorpios have strong desires and expect to get what they want. They will size up a situation instantly, and they can seduce you into doing whatever they want and have you think it was your idea. In fact, they can push your buttons so expertly that you will enjoy being manipulated. But don't cross swords with them -- you are sure to lose!   

Passionate, magical cats with a magnetic presence. Leaping and bounding with immense joie de vivre, the Scorpio cat doesn't usually make friends easily but, once won over, will be your trusty ally for life. Piscean owners share the Scorpio cat's insight; Taurean owners entice the Scorpio cat back to base.

Your cat has piercing eyes that are almost hypnotic. Their steady gaze can make you feel nervous and ill at east - they'll out stare you every time. Even when they are quiet you feel an electric vitality about them. They have an inner strength and always seem in control.

They also have a giant ego and excessive pride - believes they can accomplish anything. They wear an expression of indifference, but look deeply into their eyes and you see strong emotions flowing. They are thinking all the time on how to keep control of you.

When you injure their pride or dignity, their revenge will be subtle and well thought out. They are very mysterious, seem to actually have ESP. They seem to know when you are going to do something and if they don't approve will try to impede you.

They are not being bad, just nosey and have these urges to poke into everything.

Intensely loyal, will lay down their lives for a loved one. Dedicated to family and fiercely protective of children. Will leap instinctively to protect a loved one. Very possessive, will resent a new member in the family for a while, however, once accepted they will receive the same undying loyalty. They will know when you are sick and be very concerned and caring. When you feel back or depressed you will receive a soft nudge and look that says "It's OK I'm here."

They have an indomitable spirit, which should be nurtured to reach their full potential as a loyal and loving pet. They respect strength - a firm and no and strong eye contact will do the trick. Do not falter. Has an uncanny ability to find things - like a detective - will find that lost sock and come dragging it to you. When they want something they will fix those hypnotic eyes on you until they get you to obey.

Sagittarius

A live wire with a yen adventure. Sagittarius cats are always ready to explore what's just around the corner or go out to conquer a new world. Very athletic, they will delight you with acrobatic feats and yowl loudly if their needs for exercise and activity are not met. Yet as they get older, they will develop a philosophical bent and prefer to sit on the front porch and contemplate where they have been and what they have done. 

Freedom-loving rovers, Sagittarian cats lack the grace of other signs. Their great loves in life are eating and human company, but too much fuss makes them impatient. Leo owners like the Sagittarian cat's brashness; Aquarian owners are intrigued to see what the Sagittarian cat will do next.

They will be a kitten all their lives, they are a happy little clown, bubbling with joy and happiness. Everyone will love this happy go lucky kitten. Naturally friendly - will greet strangers like long lost friends. They even seem to smile at you.

They like and trust everybody, will expect love and affection from you and all your friends. Keep his bed where there is always some activity as they will sleep in the middle of music and fun. Cannot stand being shut away by themselves. Need people around - no toys - just people. If ignored when they greet you will hang their heads in sorrow. Desperately need to be loved. You are their sun, moon and stars. Their happy go lucky nature will endear them to everyone. You are everything in their world, without your love and attention they will become sad and dejected, sometimes they will just sit in a corner staring at the wall.

They are not particularly graceful, but their funny clumsy antics will keep you laughing. Even when they miss a jump and land in the wrong place, they will just pick themselves up and try again with a happy spirit. They have an insatiable curiosity to check out every sack, carton or package in the house. They can spend hours investigating new things.

They must have the freedom to roam outside or they can become neurotic. If they must be inside a porch with lots of plants will be a help. They feel home is for food and sleep. They do not need a set routine, are happy and content with a casual lifestyle. A messy home will not bother them.

They are somewhat awkward and tend to knock things over in their pursuit of fun. Try to keep them away from any good vases or statues because they are not agile. They will get something on their minds and move from point A to point B not really noticing what's in between. Accidents occur through their reckless behavior, causing cuts and bruises.

On your saddest day they will cheer you up and make you smile. Sometimes you will feel they are not too bright - they are - it's just their hasty movements that get them in trouble.

Capricorn 
December 22-January 20

The status-seeker. The Capricorn cat wants to climb to the top--so watch out for your curtains and look for these cats on the top of furniture or shelving (as close to the ceiling as they can get). Capricorns are serious, cautious, deliberate, and determined, and they work heard at whatever they do. They even work hard at playing! Somewhat insecure, they thrive in a positive environment and appreciate warmth and attention, although they usually won't admit it.   

Unruffled and serene, Capricorn cats are rather timid with strangers.  They crave affection but my feel inhibited about demanding it.  Be sensitive to their needs.  Cancer owners like the settled existence which Capricorn cats love; Gemini owners offset the Capricorn cat's tendency to get stuck in a rut.

This kitten looks very serious and mature. They are sometimes very moody and quiet - they are not rambunctious and rowdy - but calm and serene like an adult. They will be very dependable and obedient, but inside they are tough as nails and you will not rule them.

They will not throw tantrums - but will keep control through their focused, plodding steps to be the tops in your home. If they don't want to do what you wish - they will just wait until you forget. They will never face you down directly.

They are very precise in everything they do, from their daily bathing to the litter box usage. They are very dignified in all their undertakings. They don't eat - they dine. They seem to plan each move and waste no motion to accomplish their goals.

The most unusual part of this kitten is that when they are older they become more kittenish. They will not abide cuddling and smooching when they are young and play very seldom. But when they are older they will want lost of holding and playing.

They will like to follow you during the day, being by your side while you work and at night sleep on the bed with you. They will expect you to be as serene and dependable as they are.

They will not like being around people who bounce around and dash here and there. They like peace and serenity. They will seem to know the difference between the better things in life - prefer the best - no used items for this cat. If you give them something very expensive they will beam and strut with delight.

Must force them to exercise and play. Make sure diet is well balanced and that they eat.

They will be your devoted companion for life and will stay faithfully with you as long as you have given them a peaceful and contented lifestyle. They will always be well-behaved and respectful.

Aquarius 
January 21-Febuary 19

The original "KrazyKat." Aquarius cats are unpredictable, and that's how they like it! Just when you think they're your best friends, they become remote and detached, looking down at you from a distant perspective. Independence and individuality are their watchwords. With a strange electricity in their nature, they may appear downright "flaky" at times, and they often can't resist rebelling against what is expected or upsetting the status quo-just because. Yet the Aquarius cat is friendly and generally tolerant of your foibles.   

Unpredictable, decorative and rather aloof, admire your Aquarian cat from a distance.  Inquisitive, this cat rarely displays affection for humans, but observes them with interest. Libran owners understand an Aquarian cat's feelings; Sagittarian owners share the Aquarian cat's unemotional approach.

This is the kitten of mystery. They are timid and very cautious. Even though they seem sweet and pliable, do not be fooled, they can be very stubborn and resolute.

They seem to be always thinking, they are - that is why it is sometimes hard to get them to do thing - they have to decide if they want to do it or not. This takes much consideration and thought. Maybe they will and maybe they won't - who knows - for sure they don't

If you really want them to do something a lot of coaxing will usually persuade them.

They are not real energetic - are very sensitive. However, there are times they will flit around being very physical until they just drop from exhaustion. Be sure you control their rest as they can over-do it when they have this spurt of activity.

This kitten is a daydreamer. He will spend hours looking into other worlds - like Oz. One problem they will have is moving around while day dreaming - which sometimes can have funny results. Maybe like walking on the window ledge and stepping off the end and plopping on the couch. So keep your eye out for danger.

They are very loving and have no interest in fighting or hunting. They never throw fits or stomp around like you did them wrong.

The most amazing thing they will do is play in the rain or water. They have even been known to swim. No trouble if you want to bathe this kitten. They will eat and sleep anywhere. Will eat things most cats wouldn't touch. They also seem to get their days and nights upside down. Will want to sleep when all are awake and romp when all are asleep. On warm spring days they won't go out - on cold snowy days they can't wait to roll in the snow.

They will not be demanding, but give their love freely and generously. They will expect good food and loving attention and plenty of places to roam and lots of hidey holes.

Pisces 
February 20-March 20

sedentary, easygoing, sweet, docile, devoted

A sweet and dreamy cat who finds it easy to "make-believe." The Pisces cat can spend a lot of time entertaining both itself and you with imaginary scenarios. Deeply sensitive both physically and emotionally, their hearts yearn for total oneness with you (on their terms, of course). Their taste usually runs to seafood, and a little water is less likely to bother them than most members of the feline species. Be aware of what you are feeling when you're with a Pisces cat because they are very impressionable and tend to absorb your moods!
