otherwise please take the time to
learn about Vantana Birmans...
THIS IS HOW IS
ALL BEGAN FOR ME:
After 10 LOOOONG years I finally got myself another cat. It wasn’t easy to find
what I wanted always being a dog person I was new to the cat world All I knew I
wanted a cat that would suit my personality, liking and lifestyle.
Finally
I took the steps in being owned
b y a Birman cat, captivated by his mysterious
expression, lost in his electric blue eyes and his sweet and adorable character
was enough for me to buy my first Blue Point
Birman male
"Cinders Sacred Sash"
late 2003. He was a PERFECT Christmas present not just to me but to my WHOLE
Family! Apart from his stunning appearance I have been captured by his fabulous
temperament. It is from this point I decided I wanted to learn more about the
Enchanting Sacred Cats and dreamt of becoming a breeder.
“Many
told me that one Birman is wonderful but two are even better”
How TRUE is this
statement! My breeding dream became a reality when I brought my first breeding
queen
"Claudmar Sprinkles of Magic"
and of course my second Birman cat.
Due to
my nature, personality and passion I made a pledge to myself,, the breed and of
course to the animals that I own. That I would do it right or not breed at all.
Vantana's motto and belief is:
I was a
registered member of the
The Governing Council of
the Cat Fancy Australia and Victoria
Like most
people who have taken up their lives in this hobby will understand that
everything we do is for them, including web sites. Yes I've designed a
web site ALL for them! After all,
VANTANA
is all about them, I am just their mum and the one that
loves them tremendously, they are my pride and joy. My Fur Babies!
My pets are my children; they live inside a
warm and cosy environment and are allowed to roam around the
house as they please. My cats always greet people who come
to our home and live the luxury of a pet life. When my cats
are outside they are in a secure locked up area where they
are free to roam within the cattery or on a harness and have
lots of fresh food, water and loads of sunshine, toys and
all the luxuries that cats deserve! My dogs roam about the
yard during the day and share my bedroom of the night. Who
says they're spoilt?
I was a hobby Birman breeder but have retired now for a while,
I bred simply
for the love and joy of the breed; naturally my goal was to
breed the best quality Birman that is possible. However as
all reputable breeders know this is a tough journey but
undoubtedly an enjoyable one.
Please take the time to
surf, read and enjoy my pages, meeting
my furry family from the beginning to my current family now. Don’t
forget to also sign our guestbook and let us know you’ve dropped by.
Lots of
kitten kisses

Take the time to meet
Pus who was my inspiration to own a cat all over again
These
are the ONLY two photos that we were able to capture of Pus our
little blue eyed orphaned Tabby. (1993)
Pus was my
inspiration in more way then one. He came to our home after we saw
an advert for dumped orphaned kittens and we went to se them, being
the size of my palm he was the one that climbed up my leg so he was
mine to be. Pus didn't get a chance to grow old with us due to a
very sad ending that did more to me then just loose him.
Coming from a typical European family home where our pet moggy’s or
domestic short hairs were street cats and would come home for a
feed, snuggle and back to kitty duties outdoors, in 1993 this all
changed for me. Pus came into my life where I reared him by hand
feeding him until he grew into a healthy sized kitten. Pus slowly
grew stronger and with much love, the one thing that stuck out about
Pus was that he had gorgeous blue eyes, a pet love and want I’ve had
since I was a little girl.
On Easter Sunday 1993, Pus
was only 4 months old and loving the outdoors we used to let him roam
about. Coming home that day was a dreaded nightmare, as mum drove down
the street we saw a kitten in the middle of the road dead…. My heart
racing and me in hysterics I knew it was Pus. This shattered me deeply
that I swore after that incident I would NEVER buy a cat and let it
outdoors, because the scar Pus left on me I promised myself that if I
buy a kitten it had to be pedigree and would live indoors. I would do
right by the cat. Well thanks to you Pus and in honor of you I got back
into owning cats and doing it right.... Hence the beginning of Birmans
for me
