Application heat

Currently deciding which university to go to and such. STILL can't make up my mind whether to do Chemical Engineering (which has better job prospects) or Geology/Earth Sciences, which I like better.

Anyway applying to liberal arts colleges for Geology. My preliminary list includes Amherst, Colby, Hamilton and Middlebury.

All that offers Chemical Engineering, well, going to do Chemical Engineering there. Applying to Swarthmore, Tufts, Lafayette, Princeton, Yale, MIT and Lehigh. And many others.

And as for UK universities, er... some I will apply Geology (maybe Oxford) , or do they call it Earth Sciences there? and some for Chemical Engineering. Maybe U of Bath and Imperial.

What a spoilt brat

Harvard has revoked its admission of Blair Hornstine, the prospective member of the Class of 2007 who made national headlines when she sued her school system to ensure she would be her high school’s sole valedictorian. More..

Well, I don't know about you but I like to think that she got EXACTLY what she deserves. I mean, come on, she "sued her school system to ensure she would be her high school’s sole valedictorian."

Maybe if I believed that I really deserved it, I would grouch and gripe about it a little, but sue? That's for people who are generally malcontented in life.

She ' plagiarized material in articles', which lead Harvard to revoke their offer of admission. This is Harvard after all, where the best and brightest students are educated, someone like Hornstine who is of questionable intergrity is admitted, well, I can't say much about the admission process.

Guess what I found out

Bambi has a boyfriend! This is extremely surprising, as I thought that Bambi ... would be the last person I know to go out with someone. This is not an insult! I always thought she was the grunge-y type, like Avril Lavigne or something. I guess now Bambi has to wear more skirts. =)

Note to Bambi: I didn't tell anyone, swear. Only published it in my blog, but no one knows who you are, and better still, no one knows me.

My mum won't let me drive her car

Aggrh.. I am going out tonight with my friends and am in the process of pleading to my mum to let me drive her car.

Not recommended watching

The Hulk. - This movie was really S L O W - paced. I rather liked the non-conventional way they decipted the movie, and their impressive camera scenes. But this couldn't make up for the fact that, for an action movie, the action was rather lacking. A lot of talking and explaning in between the action scenes, leaving the viewer bored. Would have been better if there wasn't so much talking.

Charlie's Angels - Well, it's ok if you are a guy. Quite lame though, the scenes of false laughter and friendship.

Would someone recommend a fantasy book?

I went to Kinokuniya the other day and couldn't find any nice books to buy. I want to read someone I haven't read before.
