I am sure that we are all fascinated by Yami, and Yugis (from now on well just refer to them both by Yami) hair. Many questions run through our mind just thinking about itHow much gel does he use? and all those wonderful questions that run through our mind about that freakish hair. My friend Amanda came up with the perfect theory about it~ Yami is reincarnated from a starfish- hell it could be a porcupine, but it resembles more of a starfish. So lets examine just why, and in how many ways he is like a starfish, this is scientific evidence conducted by myself and other much more intelligent.
.) Bodies have more then one layer, often new layers of cells and otherwise~ looking at any picture of Yami, you see the many different layers that he has. There are read, gold, and black layers, each holding different proportions. This is a very rare sighting because very seldom do you see such contrasting and awkward colours together as one.
.) Body shape petit, and have no head- outshone by its spikes~ Though not entirely true in our case, Yamis hair really is much larger then his head. The hair and its gel probably make up half of its body weight.
.) Usually has five arms/extensions or more~ This particular section is very self explanatory, growing off of the top of Yamis head are five extensions. (there are also the limbs, but most mammals have them.) These extensions are quite mysterious as we have never seen anything quite like them. They are not used to search for food, or any other real purpose. It is thought that they are used as attention device used to attract the opposite sex, but this has not been confirmed. Maybe used to make itself more imposing.
.) Each of the extensions are extremely brittle, but grow back after broken off~ Due to the excessive amount of hair gel used to keep the filaments in their natural state, researchers believe that if the hair is bent in any way it will rupture and disconnect. And as most of these follicles do, it will grow back. It has baffled us all how no matter what befalls the hair, it will retain its shape. Dump it into water- hard as a rock when it comes out. Put pressure on it- and well your hand, or what ever unfortunate object subjected to it, will be in for a world of hurt. The shape is unchangeable- unless made with a clean cut, or broken in an extreme fight. (to which this species tries to avoid)
.) Species like the Acanthaster planci produce toxic spines- dangerous to touch~ Hell hath no fury like Yami after some one touches his hair. Beware! Those whom have been recorded to have touched these things, have not lived long after the occurrence.
.) There is no true brain, merely a brain ring~ Again, I assume that you all know where I am going with this.
.) An image sensing device or an eye is located at the end of each appendixes~ The consorting spikes must be used for more then one purpose. It has also been believed by certain scientists, that the specimen uses each device as an eye, or maybe even for sensing or feeling, much like a bug, or even used for balance such as a cat does.
.) Starfish gather into groups, acquiring certain perspectives in order to survive, appointing a leader so as to work together~ Yami himself has acquired his own pack, each performing duties in order to ensure the survival of the group. Seen as an annoyance to most, but to this close knitted group, it truly is the only way for them to make it in the big world. There is one that watches out for the whole group, (Joey), one sent to gather food, (Tristan often), the leader (Yami), and then theres those unfortunate few that were only placed in the group because of pity (Tea).
.) Naturally peaceful creatures~ From what we have all witnessed- not including one or two incidences- Yami does not like to engage in battle unless necessary. Fighting to this creatures ideals, is an unnecessary occurrence.
.) Well just look at the damn thing~ Just by looking at the creature(s) there are surly some physical resemblances between the two.
Now as you all leave- you leave with the knowledge that Yami and Yugi are the reincarnated forms of the infamous starfish.
