Modern Madness

In todays modern world any thoughts of God and religion are far from many people. However the Bible shows us that we humans were very much the same in the days when Jesus walked this earth in person. Just as today we are either for Him, against Him, or couldn't care less right now, so were the people in his days.

It Is Done

But the important thing is that He carried all our sin with Him to the cross.

"For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to be it's judge, but to be it's saviour.Those who believe in the Son are not judged; but those who do not believe have already been judged, because they have not believed in God's only Son." (John 3. 16-18: GNB)

And in so doing He has opened again the direct line of communication between all people and our Creator God.

• It is possible to know that God is;
• It is possible to know that Jesus Lives;
• It is possible to be empowered by the Holy Spirit;
• It is possible to know you are saved;

These are not delusions or flights of fantasy as some would claim. These are facts, these things are known by millions around the world. And Jesus wants you to know them too!

"Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned." (Mark 16. 16:)

"The right time has come,...and the Kingdom of God is near! Turn away from your sins and believe the Good News!" (Mark 1. 15:)

That is all it takes, simple belief.

Did you know unbelief is the only thing that will ever eternally seperate any person from God. You may be the biggest liar or blasphemer, perhaps you have stolen and cheated, or even been guilty of murder. But none of those things can stop you from knowing that God loves you and cares for you. None of those can stop you from knowing that Jesus died for you, personally.

Only unbelief can seperate anyone from God and the eternal Salvation that comes only through Jesus Christ. Nothing and no one else can condemn and nothing and no one else can save but the One Living God.

The descision is yours. Make your descision today!

There is no specific way of making that decision for God and Christ. Just simply tell Him what is on your heart. The following may be of use in helping you make a start..

"Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I know I deserve eternal judgment, but I thank You for Your mercy. I ask You to forgive my sins and give me life. Wash me clean and give me a new heart. Right now, I place my faith and trust in Your Son Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and I give You my life.

Lord Jesus, I believe that You are God's only Son, that You died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sins and rose again on the third day. Having trusted You as my Lord and Savior, I know that when I die, I will spend eternity with You.

Thank You that You forgive me and for the gift of eternal life. I humbly submit myself to Your will in every area of my life, and I ask You to make me into the person You want me to be. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and guide me through Your Word. Help me to trust You daily for all my needs and to rely on Your Holy Spirit to lead me as I seek to live in obedience to You.

Heavenly Father, Thank You for saving me and receiving me as Your child. Lord Jesus, Thank You for dying on the cross to pay for my sins and for giving me eternal life. Holy Spirit, Thank You for showing me my need for a Savior and for Your indwelling presence in my life. Amen."
