We All Need Something To Believe In

Since I put this web site up in June of 2004, I have had many really interesting and encouraging contacts from all over the planet. From some who know God and Jesus as I do, from some who once did believe, but are having trouble holding onto faith, and from some who claim to not believe anymore or not to believe at all.

Now this is what I find interesting. All but one contact, who say they once believed, but don't anymore, have very negative things to say about the people they have known, who claimed to know God and Jesus as I do.

We All Need To Believe...

Then in the very next sentence they are attacking God, Christ and faith. Telling me how the world cannot progress, and people cannot grow to fullfillment because of the Christian attitude and belief. It is the belief in "Christ" that retards all growth and progress, and amazingly all these folk except one, claim this as their belief. "This is what I believe," they say.

So you see, all people need something to believe in. It is part of our make up, just as it is part of our nature to seek out happiness and purpose in our life, it is also our instinct or nature to need something or someone to believe in, to put our faith in. Some believe in God and Jesus, some believe in other gods, and those it seems who believe in nothing actually believe in something. They either believe in blaming all of our human lacks and weaknesses on the Church, God and Jesus, or else the belief in God and Jesus.

Every single one of us believes in something is the point. Because this need to believe is inherent to our human nature, and our pysche. We all need something or someone to believe in. Why? Because that is how we are made.

Without Faith It Is Impossible To Live

"No one can please God without faith, for whoever comes to God, must have faith that God exists and rewards those who seek him." (Hebrews 11:6)

"For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to be it's judge, but to be it's saviour.Those who believe in the Son are not judged; but those who do not believe have already been judged, because they have not believed in God's only Son."
