SINAGBAYAN participated in this project as part of the production team, as workshop facilitators and by campaigning against the US-led wars of aggression. |
ADIOS GMA! (Artists for Democracy and the Immediate Ouster of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo) Formed on July 13. 2005 by different organizations, this alliance spearheads various cultural activities to strengthen the struggle against the fake, puppet and fascist US-Arroyo regime. |
Anti-WTO (World Trade Organization) Campaign December 2005 SINAGBAYAN, along with other organizations under the ADIOS GMA alliance, actively participated in this campaign through performances held in the Philippines and Hong Kong. These performances depicted the harmful effects of imperialist globalization in the Phiippines. |

ERAP Resign Movement (ERM) 2000-2001 SINAGBAYAN participated in this movement to remove former president Joseph "Erap" Estrada from office due to graft and corruption. SINAGBAYAN launched discussions, performances, visual artworks, mass mobilizations and its first production "Piketlayn ng Bayan" (People's Picketline) which depicted the plight and struggle of Filipino workers under the US-Estrada regime. |
SINAGBAYAN upholds the people's concerns by launching and participating in various campaigns and maximizing various means of propaganda to raise the people's awareness and understanding of social realities. The propaganda committee takes charge of drawing up SINAGBAYAN's annual campaign plans, integrating local (schools and communities), national and international campaigns. |

"Kalbaryong Bayan" ("People's Calvary"), April 2003, streets of Manila. This production, held by the Artists for Peace alliance, uses the traditional form of the senakulo, a portrayal of Christs's suffering, death and resurrection. As the march progressed towards Mendiola, performances were staged in various points, showing the people's suffering under the US-controlled regime and their eventual self-redemption. |
CAMPAIGN AGAINST HUNGER, POVERTY AND POLITICAL REPRESSION 2004 - present SINAGBAYAN unites with other artists and culural workers to battle the perennial issues of poverty, hunger and repression. Various means for strengthening this campaign have been launched, such as educational discussions, fora, press conferences, performances, productions, alliance-building and mobilizations. |
