"An Afternoon with the Artists": Alternative Classroom Learning Experience (ACLE) forum. Vargas Museum, UP Diliman, August 2005. Around 30-40 students discussed with artists and cultural workers regarding the state of culture and the arts. Guest speakers included Orly Castillo and Boy Dominguez (visual arts); Ellen Ongkeko-Marfil and Lorna Sanchez (film); Grundy Constantino and Bong dela Torre (theater); and Alexander Remollino (literature). |
Improvisational Theater Workshop, Barangay Commonwealth, April 2006. Youth from the Commonwealth community and students from various schools attended this 3-day workshop facilitated by Bong dela Torre (CAP) and SINAGBAYAN theater artists. Output pieces were performed on the International Labor Day (May 1). Most of the participants now comprise the SINAGBAYAN-Commonwealth chapter. |
Aeta Day. SINAGBAYAN integrates in the Aeta community every August and facilitates workshops which culminate in cultural programs. (2004 Basic Integrated Theater Arts Workshop; 2005 Theater and Visual arts; 2006 Visual Arts.) Last August 2006, the Aeta Day was held in Quezon City due to displacement brought about by militarization and state terrorism. |
