My Thoughts on the Subject...

Topic: New Apartment, New Job?
All right, so I haven't signed the paperwork yet, but the new job is in the works.  I'm waiting to hear back from the Human Resources Coordinator about my background check, so... Those of you that I've associated with who would cause me to fail this check (and you know who you are) should please refrain from speaking to strangers for a little while!  I don't think that there is any reason that I should be nervous about failing, but my golly are they taking their sweet damned time getting it back to the hotel.
So, people who know what I'd like to have been doing when I arrive in the NoVa. area have developed this habit of telling me about everyone they meet who works for any agency, and mentioning all of the television adverts that are floating around about FBI recruitment.  I wouldn't mind, except that I've sent my resumes there already and they haven't contacted me.  I guess that I'm not USDA certified.....

My new roommte/landlord- I'm renting her basement, is Christie, a former employee of my mothers.  She's cool, she wroks a lot- so there's not much chance of getting on each others nerves within the first month.  I do like being back here though.  I think that I've seen a good 16 inches of snow since I arrived in February and I'm not sick of it yet.  I do love fresh powder on the world, it's like a coating of icing that hides all of the imperfections of the cake and allows you to enjoy it without seeing the flaws.  That doesn't sound like it did in my head as I read it, but it's the closest I can get at the moment.
Tonight I shall roast a chicken, and hopefully celebrate having a new job..... but we'll see.  There isn't much more to tell, I miss everyone and wish that they could be here to see 4 inches of snow on the ground.  Geri would die- she'd be in heaven with a black and white roll.   Anyway, before I ramble on.  Toodles.
