Topic:  The Job Search and Finding an Apartment
There are a few basic amenities that I've begun to cherish in life.  A few worth mentioning are- Central Air and Heating, a washer and dryer, and effective plumbing (a.k.a.- a shower with hot water).  These are a few things that I will not compromise on when looking for a new apartment, but in order to find that, I must spend nearly $800 a month or move over an hour outside of the city.  Am I the only one who sees something wrong here?  Yes, I understand that it's a big city and there's a property boom going on, but what are people thinking?
Just as an example, in the Apartment Shoppers Guide to Washington, DC/Maryland/Virginia,  a complex in Fredrick, MD. (which I shall leave nameless) ranges from $950- $1170 just for a 1 bedroom apartment.  You ask the square footage???? From 672-865 square feet.  I'm going to have to find a fox hole to rent because that's all that I can afford!!!!!!!!!
But, I will calm myself, I was expecting this.  I just need to be sure that I get a good paying job.  I can just have no life for a while as I need to pay off my credit cards and somehow buy at least a bed.  I can use milk crates for the rest of the furniture.
So I don't know why I'm going on about this, it's not that important I guess.  Getting a job would be more important and that's crawling along at a snails pace so far.  I have two interviews this week, but I just wish I'd get hired already- so that then I could bitch about work :)  You see, it's a vicious circle.
Now, it is 8:00 AM on Presidents Day and I guess that it's time for breakfast.  I wish that I had more to say or more to update, but it's slow going up here.  If anyone has any ideas, then I'm all ears.
