My Thoughts on the Subject...

OK, so I can guess what you're thinking.... What the hell is all of this? Well, I'm so glad you asked! I've decided to post some pictures of what I've been doing in the time I've spent with friends in Florida- before DC that is. I'm quite proud of myself for having done all of this in the span of about two weeks. And that's not including the curtains, whose pictures couldn't fit on the page, for the entryway and the master bedroom.
To the left are the throw pillows for the master bedroom- shades of lavender and green.
Below are the throw pillows for the living room along with the side table covers and the new cases for the couch cushions.

So now, one of the real reasons that I've been on a sewing and crafting binge- I now feel slightly more capable of doing anything than when I returned from London. I can't tell you how much of a confidence builder completing a large project like this, and then having people tell you that it's good- OOOHHHH! There goes the neighborhood, because my head gets too big.
I am almost ready to take on that big bad world, jump in feet first and ask questions later. In 12 days I am going to start the next chapter of my life and I'm not sure where it will lead. The little girl in me wants to say that I'll go there, get my masters and find my prince charming, but the jaded and cynical adult in me says that she's dreaming- they really are loud voices you know. Anyway, a neighbor of Sarah's saw what I'd done and I think that she might actually pay me to do some window treatments for her- how cool is that! But that means there will be some WalMart fabric shopping this weekend, darn. I love the $1 rack. Maybe I'll just decide to skip the Masters in development studies and become an interior decorator?? Who knows.
