Biodiversity

With changes in climate, plants and animals will be affected as they depend intimately on their physical environment.  As mentioned, increased temperatures can lead to coral bleaching, events of which are occurring with increasing frequency in the Caribbean. This has implications for biodiversity conservation, tourism and coastal zone protection, in addition to the loss of fish stocks.
