Caribbean climate

Climate can be defined as the average weather conditions in an area determined over a period of years. Climatology is the science dealing with climate and climate phenomena. Following the Köppen Climate Classification System, the climates of the entire Caribbean region can be characterized as tropical moist climates.

Country specific climate information can be found at  the web sites of the National Weather and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) or at www.caribweather.net portal and World Weather Information Service.
