MOVIE-VERSE BUNNIES (1) M16. Aragorn and Arwen are wed. What are the preparations like? Is the ceremony in Elvish, the Common Tongue, or both? Who officiates? Do Aragorn and Arwen write vows they speak to one another? Is it public? If private, who attends? M17. Describe the hobbits’ last night on the road together before entering the Shire once more. What was that final campfire like? Did they speak of the past? The future? (Were their blankets and gear as fine as their clothes?) Were Merry and Pippin eager to see their families, or were they loathe to break up their fellowship and let Frodo out of their sight? Did they put on their Gondorian finery at the last minute, or had they worn it all the way home? M18. Frodo’s wound never really heals, even four years after Weathertop. Has he been suffering all that time? Why is it coming as such a surprise to Sam that Frodo isn’t well (and isn’t looking well)? How exactly is Frodo feeling? Does the wound ache? Is he beginning to feel distant? How did he make his decision about sailing West, and how does Gandalf know about it in advance? M19. Sam, Merry, and Pippin had to have ridden back to the Shire from the Grey Havens together. Describe their parting. Who had to console whom (if anyone)? Why didn’t Merry and Pippin accompany Sam home? What was Sam thinking when he was walking the final way towards his home, alone? M20. The moment Frodo boards the ship, he looks and feels better at once. Do he and Bilbo talk about where they're going? Do the Elves make them feel welcome? Does Frodo (or Bilbo) begin writing a new book, to chronicle their "new adventure"? M21.Donated

How about Pippin’s? How do the hobbits know where Strider has taken Frodo, and where do they get the “weapons” they’re carrying when they burst into the room? M23. donated bunny
from Elanor Silmariën: M24. Movie-verse bunny: The POV of the White Tree at Aragorn's coronation. What does it feel or sense about its sudden flowering and new life? The Elves in attendance? The crowds? The new King? The mood of the City? M25. Movie-bunny: We see Frodo’s horrified reaction as Gandalf falls in Moria, but what of Sam at that moment? What of Legolas, who has now seen with his own eyes one of the oldest and most feared creatures known to Elves? M26. Movie-bunny: In Minas Tirith, no one but Gandalf knows that Pippin stabbed an Orc to death... until Pippin's nightmares start (or his flashbacks begin). Or... does Gandalf perhaps tell the other hobbits of their friend's brave deed? What do they do with this knowledge? M27. Movie-bunny: Pippin takes one or more of his fellow hobbits to the place where he believed he and Gandalf were about to die (as Gandalf told him about "the far green country"). What do the hobbits talk about there? Has Pippin found a new serenity and maturity because of that experience? Does anyone then seek out Gandalf to hear more about this "far green country"? |
