O'HA-!! Okay, here goes. These are the romanized lyrics of SMAP's song Orenji, (Orange), which I translate specially for Mayuko and dear good fans of SMAP like she. The lyrics are actually quite beautiful! They remind me of my ex-boyfrined Yuki... never mind that *sniff* The actual lyrics are in pink, and below them in purple is the English approximation. For the bad browsers, the English is also in italics. Remember that many of the things are not exactly translatable into English, so I did my best, and if you are fluent in Japanese and English, and think I have messed up somewhere, please email me and we'll debate it. I'd appreciate the input!
By the way, a few minor notes: Since the verses are better read in two stanzas, the translation will be per two lines. There are also a number of English words in the Japanese text. Don't be surprised, but if you're singing karaoke, remember that the words are not pronounced the same way.

Chisa na kata ni seoi konda bokura no mirai wa
Chodo kyou no yuuhi no youni yureteta no kana

Our future is crowded with the burden on small shoulders
I wonder, is it just like the flicker of today's setting sun

Itazurana tenki ame ga BASU wo oikoshite
ORENJI no tsubu ga machini kagaya iteiru

Teasing weather; the rain passes the bus by.
The orange grain brightens up the town

Toomawari wo shita jitensha no kaerimichi
Senaka ni atatakana kodou wo kanjiteta

The roundabout path of the returning bicycle
Feeling the throbbing heat on your back

"Sayonara" to ieba kimi no kizu mo shikoshi wa ieru darou?
"Aitai yo" to naita koe ga ima mo mune ni hibi iteiru

If you say "Good bye", won't your wounds also heal a little?
Even now the voice that cried "I miss you" echoes in the heart.

Bukiyou sugiru futari mo kisetsu wo koereba
Mada minu siawasena hi ni meguriau kana

If two awkward people also cross over a season
Could they meet again by chance, one happy day?

Nantonaku kyori wo tamote zuni hani kande wa
Hagayui tabiji no tochuu de nekoron dane

(I) guarantee, even teeth may be laid down,
in relation to some distance of the journey,

"Sayonara" to ieba kimi no kizu mo shikoshi wa ieru darou?
"Aitai yo" to naita koe ga ima mo mune ni hibi iteiru

If you say "Good bye", won't your wounds also heal a little?
Even now the voice that cried "I miss you" echoes in the heart.

Hitonami no naka de itsuno hika guuzen ni
Deaeru koto ga aru no nara sono hi made

until the day that possibly we meet
perchance suddenly in the middle of a crowd ...

"Sayonara" boku wo kyou made sasae tsudzukete kureta hito
"Sayonara" ima demo dare yori taisetsu da to omoeru hito

"Goodbye." the person who continued to support me until today
"Goodbye." even now the person of my dearest thoughts

Soshite
Nani yori futari ga kokode tomoni sugoshita kono hibi wo
Nonari itekureta koto wo boku wa wasurewa shinai darou

And
I could never forget what days two people shared until here,
existing side by side

"Sayonara"
Kienai youni
Zutto iroasenu youni
"Arigatou"

"Goodbye"
never disappearing
forever, faded
"Thank you."
