I haven't done this in such a long time that I've forgotten just how fun it is. I'm kinda disappointed that people aren't visiting as much, but then again I guess it's largely my fault. Firstly, happy belated birthday to Chin Hoe. I hope he got the card I sent him. But with so much trouble with mail and anthrax nowadays, who knows where it ended up. Tariq is gonna be celebrating his birthday in 2 days time. So happy birthday to him too. U people are growing up so quickly!!!!
I actually got to watch a taping of FRIENDS last week. Or wassit the week before? Anyway, it was very very very cool:) I had to skip a class for it, but then again, wouldn't u? The taping lasted from 2 something in the afternoon till almost 9 ish. That's like 7 hours for a measely half hour show. They did a lot of retakes and a lot of rewriting the script in between scenes. Thankfully, they have this emcee kinda guy who entertains us between takes by giving out chocolates and free gifts. It was kinda fun the first few hours jumping up and down for the free gifts, but after a while, it just got tiresome especially when I couldn't get what I wanted:) such a spoilt brat..sighh:)
The Diamondbacks won the World Series!!! Isn't that simply amazing? Who would have thought the Yankees would finally lose. It's strange how up and down this series was. The Diamondbacks completely dominated Games 1 and 2. People started to talk about the Yankees not hitting well. Then they come back with strong hitting especially off a certain Korean pitcher (twice) to take the lead in the series 3-2. You would think with that kind of momentum going coupled with their experience, they would have no problem winning the last game. But the D backs come out strong and totally whitewash the Yanks in Game 6 thus setting up the dream finale of Game 7. Couldn't have been any better although I only watched the last 5 minutes of the game. It was sheer joy to see the D backs getting hit after hit off Rivera and loading the bases before the winning run was driven in. I don't hate the Yankees or anything, just that it would be nice to have a new winner. Of course, the Yankees winning this year would have meant a lot more than before what wiht the Sept 11 incident and all. I think I've mentioned Sept 11 at least once in all the past columns.
I really wonder if I'm the only one who doesn't seem to have an end in mind. I mean, it's not to say that I'm not ambitious or anything, but I just struggle to see the point of working towards one thing only to want to work towards another thing and so on so forth. For those of you who can, I totally respect you. I just don't know if there's something wrong with me...
