GIANT DINOSAURS
Some dinosaurs were really giants. they were so huge that an elephant was small next to them. some, like the omeisaurus, measured up to 66 feet long and could weigh up to 20 tons. they had such long necks that they could eat from the top of a tree. these long-necked plant eaters were the biggest animals ever.
Another giant dinosaur was the Sauropod. This type had a very long neck, but a small head. His head didn't develop according to his neck length. His body was as long as a tennis court, but his head was as small as a table- tennis ball. His head size doesn't indicate his level of intelligence, but it seems that dinosaurs were limited in their behavior. Probably their daily activities were walking, eating, and producing waste.
The long-neck dinosaur's feet were also very big, around 4 feet long. Do you think that these Giants could run races? Well, you would be surprised, because they couldn't. They walked at the same speed that you do.
And what about their teeth? The scientists believe that the Sauropod's spoon-shaped teeth were good for cutting tough plants. Later dinosaur's teeth, were better shaped for biting soft plants like the ones that grew near the water.
In conclusion we need to know that that not all the dinosaurs were giants, but the giants, which fascinate us so much, did exist.
