DINOSAUR'S FAMILY The dinosaurs belonged to the reptiles family. Let's see, do you known Franklin the turtle? Well, the turtles are reptiles too as well as crocodiles, snakes and lizards. All these animals have in common that they have bones, scaly skin and almost all of them lay eggs. The first reptiles lived 100 years before the dinosaurs and were lizard creatures. During the dinosaurs era other kind of reptiles like the flying reptiles called Pterosaurs", the sea reptiles called "Ichthyosaurs and Plesiosaurs" and the mammal-like reptiles appeared. This last kind dominated the life on the Earth until the dinosaurs appeared, but died at the end of the Jurassic period.
