DISCOVERIES

The people that search after dinosaur fossils are called Paleontologists. For you to understand what a fossil is, we can say that is the remains of plants or animals that have been untouched for millions of years. In general, a fossil is the remains of bones, or teeth, or dinosaur eggs, etc. That means that they might find a part of a dinosaur skeleton. Then, they will try to put the parts together to build the skeleton. You can go and see them at the Museum.

The fossils of the largest meat-eating and plant-eating dinosaurs were found in the North of Patagonia in 1988. Patagonia is part of Argentina, a country in South America.

In Alberta, part of Canada (North America), a huge number of fossils from dinosaurs that lived 75 millions of years ago were found.

Since the dinosaurs spread all over the Earth, fossils were found in different countries and the Paleontologists continue to search for this fascinating animal.
