God is like the Sun
If God is Love, then Love is God
Why doesn't the bible mention dinosaurs?
Couldn't God have used evolution to create the World?
Isn't it obvious the Earth is millions of years old?
Couldn't God have used evolution to create the world?

The answer is: Yes. God is all powerfull so He can do whatever he wants. He very well could have used evolution to create the world. However, according to the bible, he
didn't.
You see, you cannot mix the bible and evolution. They don't mix. Trying to mix the bible and evolution is kind of like trying to hold on to the claim, "I have a brother," and then at the same time trying to hold on to another claim, "I'm an only child."
If you have a brother, then you
can't be an only child. If you're an only child, then you can't have a brother. So in the same way, if you believe in the bible, then you can't believe in evolution. If you believe in evolution, then you can't believe in the bible.

The bible says that God created the world in six days. Those who try to mix the Bible and evolution say that those days weren't literal 24-hour days, but rather time periods of millions of years, because sometimes the Bible uses the word "day" indicating longer periods of time than 24-hours. (Like in Psalm 90:4, 2 Peter 3:8, and Zechariah 12-14). These sections of scripture say things like, "In that
day I'll do this or that," or, "A day is like a thousand years." In these cases it doesn't refer to a 24-hour day. However, whenever the Hebrew word for day (Yom) is used with a specific number, in this case 6 days, it always refers to literal 24-hour days, (Like when Moses was 40 days on Mt. Sinai and Jonah was 3 days inside the great fish).

Even if this was not so, it still wouldn't make sense for these days to be time periods of millions of years. It says in Genesis 1 that each day had a morning and an evening. It uses the
singular.
Now, how many evenings and mornings are there in a week? Seven evenings and seven mornings? How many evenings and mornings are there in millions of years? Millions of evenings and millions of mornings? If these "days" were millions of years, then it would have to say evening
s and mornings -the plural. But rather it uses the singular, indicating literal 24-hour days.

Even if this was not so, the millions of years idea still wouldn't make sense. Adam was created on the sixth day. He lived all the way through the seventh day. He lived on into other days after that. Yet, he died when he was only 930 years old. Now, how is it that Adam died in less than a thousand years, when he lived all the way through a million year time period?

Even if this was not so, it still wouldn't make sense for these days to represent anything other than 24-hour days. Imagine you get taken to court for making a late payment and the judge asks you, "Just exactly how late
was your payment?" Then you respond, "Oh, it was only 6 days late." Now, if that judge finds documented evidence showing your payment to be 6 years late, rather than six days, then you could get thrown into prison for lying in court.
"Oh, but judge," you may respond, "I know that I
said the word 'days' (with each day consisting of one evening and one morning), but what I meant by that was 6 years. I thought you'd understand."
If you said the word "days" then why in the world would any judge in his right mind just automatically
assume that you mean anything other than days? Not to mention the fact that each "day" has one evening and one morning!

The Bible has 5 books of the Law. They consist of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. These first 5 books of the Bible make up the Torah, the book of the Law. Now, the very same book of the Law that says,
"You shall not lie," or "You shall not bear false witness," (Deut. 5, and Ex. 20) is the very same book of the Law explaining how God created the world in six days. Now, God was the only one there to witness the creation of the world. So if He claims that He created the world in six days when in reality it actually took him 6 million years or 600 million years, then that would mean that He is lying, or bearing false witness. Now, when someone is sworn into the witness stand they put their hand on a Bible and swear to, "tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God." Now, why is it that they would put their hand on a Bible and call upon God to help them to be completly honest, when in reality God himself is a big liar and bears false witness in His Word?
The truth is, God is not lying. He's telling the truth, because He
is the truth, and there is no falsehood in Him.
