The hero of Final Fantasy VII and the owner of the most lethal looking hair in videogame history. Cloud's choice of weapon is the sword, and he's pretty handy with it too. His enormous sword can cut almost anything in two. He's also a dab hand in the spells department and is fast and extremely strong.

At an early age, Cloud left his hometown of Nibelheim to join the Shinra forces. Circumstances forced him from the army, and now the ex-SOLDIER wanders the world, a brooding mercenary who will accept any job - if the price is right. However, when he is hired by the rebel group AVALANCHE, he realises that Shinra is truly corrupt and he becomes engulfed in the battle to protect the planet from the mega-conglomerate Shinra Inc. and finding out the truth about himself. In the early parts of the game, Cloud's mind seems to flood with overwhelming images that he cannot perceive at first, but over time the truth about his memories becomes evident. Throughout the game until Aeris' demise he has difficulty dealing with his emotions regarding Tifa and Aeris.
