This page is dedicated to Kaioh Michiru/Sailor Neptune. She is the Senshi of the Sea, and Haruka's one true love.
It would be easy to call Sailor Neptune the most beautiful of the Senshi. Along with her beauty, she is both elegant and intellegent. Since Neptune is the Soldier of the Sea, her attacks and powers are water based, just like Merucy's. In fact, Ami and Michiru have a lot in common. The main difference between them is that Sailor Neptune has more powerful attacks than Mercury does.
Michiru is also a girl of many talents, just like Haruka. She attends Mugen Gakuen High School with Haruka, where only people with the most intellegent minds are amitted. Her dream is to become a reknown violinist. She also loves to paint... the first day she met Haruka, she wanted to paint a portrait of her, but was turned down... Finally, Michiru likes to swim, as does Ami. It's only logical since both of their Elements are water based...
As you should already know, Haruka and Michiru are lovers destined to be together (kinda like Mamo-chan and Usagi). They are always side by side in battle, and in real life. They were in love since the day they met, and both were glad to find out that the other was the Senshi that they were meant to be with... In fact, these two are the most romantic couple in the series... (note the mature intimate jokes they make with eachother *wink wink*) Rose petals floating through the air symbolize their presense. Michiru, along with Setsuna and Haruka, raise baby Hotaru until she is old enough to battle. Michiru is responsible for the feeding and health of Hotaru.
Sailor Neptune's talisman is the Deep Sea Mirror. She uses it in battle, just like Uranus uses her Space Sword. For any North American viewers who have only seen dubbed episodes of Sailor Moon, I take it as a responsibility to discuss the controversies of Haruka and Michiru's relationship... =) Some have talked about a "Prince Uranus" who was in love with Michiru, but killed in the battle with Queen Beryl. He was then reincarnated into his sister's body, Haruka. This is obviously false information. As for Haruka and Michiru being cousins... this is just a manifestation of American dub. People are just scared to let all the young viewers out there get exposed to a lesbian relationship in a cartoon show aired for all to see. If this is the case, I can't wait to see how they will explain why the Sailor Star Lights turn into women when they transform.
