College Of The White Dragon

Some things you need to know if you plan on attending

At Nemeton Awenyddion we are open to visitors at any of our feasts and rituals as long as all who attend agree to our *laws of harmony*. We are located in the hills of Cohasset above Chico, California in the middle of a intermountain forested area surrounded by oaks, pines, ceders, dogwoods, silver tipped firs. We practice our Colleges' rituals and healing rites in our standing stone Nemeton (sacred space).

The Feast

For the feast we have after *all* rituals we always do a potluck. To make arrangements as to what you need to bring for the potluck contact me. The options for a variety of what we can bring to share are usually pretty big.

Campouts at Nemeton Awenyddion

We usually try to hold two campouts a year, the dates are flexable depending on members choices as to when works best. Visitors are also welcome to festivals campouts as long as they are *aware* of keeping in tune with all *laws of harmony*. We gather to create a healing, creative, spiritual, and energetically attuned environment within the fellowship, we also strive to keep in tune with our Triad Spirits (please see our Cosmology link in the table below).

/|\ If attending a campout you are required to bring everything you would want to bring to go on a short camping trip. We always feast together when we camp and have a cook fire pit surrounded by benches next to a water tower for safety. You'll want to bring something similar to this list below:
*..tent (if you have one, I have a couple of extras if you don't)
*..sleeping bags, a long sleeved shirt or jacket to wear under your robe.
*..your ritual robe can be of almost any shade or color. Members usually wear white or offwhite.
*..If you eat meat, bring some to share.
*..soft soled shoes, sandles or mocasins for ritual.
*..herbal offering for Grove blessing.
*..if you write a poem for the celebration this can also be a devotional offering you can share.

Geasa for Campouts and festivals

*..For keeping PEACE within our fellowship, rituals, meditations we ask that you do not bring any pets, no kidding. Outside distraction during ritual disrupt the energy flow and communion with the Triad Spirits.
*..Children are always welcome, but please keep track of them, there are wooded areas and possibly bears may visit occasionally, along with bobcats, owls, ravans, deer, etc.If your children are not used to ritual trained we will need to arrange a babysitter and if I need to hire one, everyone who brings children who will need to be watched are expected to pay two dollars per child to the babysitter for watching them during rituals.
*..do not bring any noisy electronic devises such as, boomboxes, gameboys.
*..Anyone who smokes will be asked to not throw any butts on the ground, please deposit cig butts into a garbage can or personal ashtray. Also please be aware if the smoke is bothersome to any other participants who may be around you, move some steps away of it does bother anyone--thank-you.
*..Please remember, I do a lot of work and preparation for these events to take place. I cannot chaperone people to or from Chico unless it's arranged way ahead of time and I would already be going into Chico. I cannot take care of other's children, as mine are a handfull for me well enough.
*..We do not get together in the Nemeton to *party* on alcohol. If you do drink, please drink modestly and not get drunk. We are here to enjoy each others company and commune with the divine while we are *aware* not impaired.
*.. anyone who displays a negative attitude or disrupts the harmony will be ejected by the white dragon security.
*.. Remember* visitors will often times have been trained through other practices like Asatru, Wicca, Catholocism, etc. This is fine but, this is a Druid Grove however and visitors also must remember what our focus in our tradition is what we keep here in our fellowship. Please share with one another Grove related stuff but, we need to not tell anyone their opinion is wrong or doesn't exist, be open minded to the teaching that the Grove's experience brings. Please do not come here to recruit members or visitors to joining other orders, you can do this on the outside of the Grove on your personal time.
*.. Sometimes when we do a class a small fee or donation is expected out of your grattitude and respect for the Druids work and time. Offerings for classes can be candles, insence, herbs for offerings, stuff the Grove uses to perform rituals and create a healing space.
