Tree Cosmology
A Cosmology is the way in which a certain belief system percieves the souls existance or our creation. In the Celtic Soul Cosmology is a map of the universal spirit in a holographic vision of a tree where the three worlds exist together within the roots, branches, and trunk. The surrounding circle around the tree symbolizes Oneness. The cosmology of the Celtic Tree unfolds in all directions horizontal and vertical. When you are to do a tree meditation the roots are the first to be developed, then the trunk, and then the branches. There are also three worlds of existance that are contained in the world tree. The concept of each of the three worlds containing four centers and the sacred fifth is also common in Celtic lore. The center symbolizes the core or heart spirit. The outer circle that surrounds the three worlds is the unity of all spirits. After we take the centers of each of the three realms and connect them straight down through their centers we then have a sceptor of light which looks like a tree. This sceptor runs an energy through and between the realms, this energy also exists in the outer circle which surrounds the whole cosmology.
/!\ In the triad worlds of the World Tree the Underworld/Annwyn is usually located through water, the sea, or places that reach deep water. The roots are in the Underworld, the past, our ancestors, our mind. The trunk exists on Earth, the Middleworld/Abred, our Nature and Earthly relations, our physical bodies, the present time. The middleworld is also the center in the world tree, present moment. The branches reach into the Otherworld/Gwynfyd, the world of spirit and deity, into the future.
/!\In wholistic perception we are each a holograph of the cosmologies entirety. These three worlds are our divine connection to the Awen and whole self awareness when they are in balance and brought together into the no-time but now. It is from within that our truer form will emerge. To know the truer form of our innermost selves allows one to see the truer form of what is without. Within our physical bodies there are places with direct connection to these three worlds, they are located in our belly, our heart, and crown. They are similar to the chakras of Hinduism but not the same. When we visualize them within us we see three cauldrons or bowls.
